About This Pub
Ah, The White Swan Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in the heart of Dunstable. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the outdoor area is a real winner, especially when the weather's playing ball; it's such a clever touch for soaking up the sun with a cold drink in hand. The food doesn't disappoint either – think hearty options with plenty of variety, like those mouthwatering roasts and sharing plates that leave you satisfied. The team behind the bar are absolute stars, always cheerful and ready to help, which really adds to that cosy, homely feel. It's great for everything from a quick bite to organising a get-together, and they've got that knack for making you feel right at home. On the flip side, it's not perfect – I did spot a mention of veg being a tad undercooked once, and even a fork giving up the ghost mid-meal, which is a bit of a laugh but could be frustrating if you're tucking in. Still, with such high praise overall, it's worth popping in for a try; you'd be hard-pressed not to have a good time, as long as you go in with a relaxed attitude.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The outdoor area is absolutely brilliant, especially on those lovely sunny days – it's a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a pint.
-
The food here is top-notch, with an excellent variety of choices, including delicious roasts and sharing platters that really hit the spot.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and looked after.
-
It's got a really warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual catch-up or even hosting events – nothing seems too much trouble.
Cons
-
There might be the odd hiccup with food prep, like slightly undercooked veg in one instance, which could put a small dampener on things.
-
That said, it's not a big issue overall, but keep an eye out for minor annoyances like a fork handle snapping – just a quirky pub mishap!

I was lucky enough to win the afternoon tea competition that they did and it was scrummy, plenty of food , we added Prosecco of course , Tasha and her staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Not my first visit to the white swan I love the atmosphere and food in here so definitely recommend it if you like somewhere with a vibe
A really lovely pub right in the heart of Dunstable. Tash and all the team do everything they can to make you feel welcome and looked after. The food is great, and you can speak to them for holding space/events too. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is great, especially the roasts and sharing platters. They're family friendly and have a kids menu, going above and beyond to accommodate sometimes fussy eaters. And not forgetting the quiz that's on every other wednesday - it's great fun too and includes food!
Great food and a lovely ambiance at The White Swan. The staff are always friendly and attentive.
Five stars!
