About This Pub

Ah, The Froth & Elbow – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper British night out. From what I've gathered from the reviews, folks absolutely love the friendly staff and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're among old friends. The drinks selection is a real winner, with excellent ales and chilled wines that keep everyone happy, and the food doesn't disappoint either – those roasts sound like a must-try for a satisfying Sunday lunch. Plus, the outdoor garden is a gem for sunnier days, and the cosy fire in winter adds that extra charm for a snug evening. On the flip side, it's not the easiest to get to if you're coming from the town centre, and it does get packed, which might not suit if you're after a quiet pint. Still, with such high praise and a solid 4.3 rating, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a good time, so I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for a reliable spot to unwind.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is just lovely – it's busy and friendly, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got a cracking selection of drinks, from great ales to ice-cold rosé wine, so there's something for everyone.
  • The food is spot on, especially the roasts which come highly recommended – perfect for a hearty meal.
  • Outdoor seating and a nice garden area are brilliant for summer days, and it's got one of the best pub gardens in the area.
  • In winter, the roaring fire adds a cosy touch, and they show sports on TV without it overwhelming the vibe.
Cons
  • It's a bit of a trek from Dunstable town centre, so you might need to plan your journey if you're not local.
  • It can get quite busy at times, which is great for the buzz but might mean it's harder to find a seat.
  • The car park is on the small side, so parking could be a minor hassle if you're driving over.

We have been irregular, regulars since we moved into the area 7 years ago. But today we ate lunch. Such a lovely pub! Great staff and always a pleasant atmosphere. Sport on TV, but don't let it put you off. Roaring fire in winter, outside seating in summer. Good ales, ice cold rosè wine and excellent Dirty Burgers! Definitely recommend.

Nice bar a little walk from Dunstable town centre. Expect to pay £4 to £5 region for a premium lager but worth it for the clientele. After a recent visit, we decided that it has the best pub garden we've been to in Dunstable.

Unfortunately the reason for my visit was a wake. The pub does a few ales & the usual keg & bottle suspects. It was very busy, clean & tidy & appeared well run. It has a limited spaces car park , a nice outside covered section that leads to a small garden , which contains ' safe bubble' seating. Didn't eat hence the 4*.
