About This Pub
Ah, The Nags Head – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of a good British local. From what I've gathered, it's a warm, family-run place where Wayne and Theresa make sure everything feels welcoming, with friendly staff always on hand to pour a pint or serve up some hearty pub classics. The drinks are affordable with daily deals, and the food sounds spot-on – think juicy burgers and curries made with local ingredients, plus they're even dog-friendly with a menu for your four-legged mates. Weekends come alive with live music and karaoke, which is brilliant for a singalong or just soaking up the energy. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses; a couple of people have had run-ins with the door staff, feeling a bit bullied or unfairly singled out, which is a shame and could sour an otherwise great night. Then there's the odd complaint about the DJ choices interrupting the flow, turning what could be a top night into something a tad frustrating. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed drink or meal in Dunstable, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and keep an eye on the atmosphere – I'd say it's worth a visit for the good vibes and value, but maybe check it out on a quieter evening first.

Proper pub with a pool table. Dartboard. Racing TV. £5.40 a pint. Does food but I didn’t have any. Nice chat with the guvnor. I’ll be back hopefully.
Really great food with a homely feeling like mum makes. Lovely bar staff also dog friendly with a lovely dog menu 😁
Its a was good at parts last night but the djs choices were abit annoying playing great songs then a crap song killing the vibe. Also the dj kept interrupted the songs with snippets of the next song. It definitely wasn't my best night out but not the worst.
They condone door staff that bullies.
I know the owners son and tried having a word in regards of one bouncer who simply doesn't like me to which they said they don't over rule their staff..
I've done nothing wrong there at all just a vendetta against me.
Rather go spend my money in the white Swan now.
Visited again on 30/11.
It was steak night with steaks for two and a bottle of wine for £25. Fantastic value and the food was excellent. I especially loved the homemade onion rings!
A DJ started at about 9pm and with the pub's impressive sound system the atmosphere was great. If you haven't been to the new Nags Head, I'd highly recommend it - it's a great find!

Very friendly with good food, great beer, cocktails and coffee. They have late night dancing on Fridays and Saturdays too. Would definitely recommend.
