About This Pub
Ah, The White Horse in Bath is one of those pubs that just wraps you up in a friendly hug the second you step inside – it's got that classic village charm with cosy nooks and a relaxed vibe that's perfect for unwinding over a pint. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff and the locals are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making everyone feel at home, plus they've nailed the food side with generous portions of roast dinners and a good variety of beers to choose from. It's also great to see it's LGBT+ friendly and offers perks like free pool on Tuesdays, which could make for a fun evening out. On the flip side, though, the ale options might not always hit the mark, with some folks mentioning dodgy pints or just a limited selection, and the landlord comes across as a bit reserved, which might not suit if you're in the mood for a more boisterous atmosphere. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back visit, especially if you're exploring the area, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind for a balanced night out.

Cons
-
The ale selection can be a bit limited sometimes, with only one on offer occasionally, and there have been mixed experiences with the quality.

The landlord doesn't seem all that outgoing, which might make the place feel a tad reserved if you're after lively chats.

It's under new management now and again, which could mean things aren't always consistent, as past reviews have noted.

Very nice pub and different beers and really nice place
Proper village pub in a lovely setting, with cosy rooms over the bar. Stayed here for a night whilst doing some walks of the surrounding area, enjoyed a couple of beers in a very friendly atmosphere, had a good (and quiet) night's sleep, followed by a hearty breakfast before setting off home. Would recommend to anyone planning on doing any walking in the area and looking for a place with character to bed down for a night or two.
Always a pleasure popping into The White Horse! Bar maids and land lady works so hard, they're absolutely lovely and Sue does a cracking roast! Brilliant portions for your money and good selection of meat 👏 my first time walking in there I felt like I was instantly a regular! Locals very friendly and chatty. Brilliant service and selection of beers and ciders.
This is a wonderful pub, thank you to the lovely landlady who looked after me and my partner after attending a funeral. She was very kind. LGBT+ friendly place and free pool on Tuesdays. Lovely place.
Under new management again and good to see they are making an effort with the food again. Many old customers have returned. I have had some bad experiences with the ales(of which there is usually only one) although a pint of Otter last week was fine. Not the most outgoing of landlords. Oh, and the toilets are much improved
