About This Pub
Ah, the New Crown Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home from the moment you step inside. I've got to say, what really stands out is the genuine community spirit; it's all about sharing a laugh over a well-poured pint, and it's so inviting that even the dog gets a warm welcome. The landlady and the team are absolute stars, always ready with a smile and that extra touch of kindness, like carrying your drink out to the garden or sorting out a comfy room for the night. Speaking of which, if you're looking for a place to crash, the rooms are nicely done up with fresh renovations and super snug beds, and it's handy being right by the bus stop with a few other eateries nearby. But, let's keep it real, it's not flawless – the food, like that cheese and onion roll, could use a bit more zest to make it truly memorable, and it's a shame there's not more online info to help you plan ahead. Overall, though, it's a solid spot for anyone wanting a friendly pint and a good chat in Bath, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
Pros and Cons

Cons
-

-
There's not much info online, like no website or detailed operating hours, which makes it a tad tricky to plan a visit in advance.

Proper pub!
If you haven’t paid a visit to The New Crown Inn yet, you’re seriously missing out on one of the finest pubs around. This isn’t just a pub—it’s a proper community hub where laughs are loud, the pints are perfect, and everyone’s welcome (including the dog!).
From the second you walk in, you’re met with a warm smile behind the bar and that unmistakable buzz of a pub that’s alive with good vibes. The New Crown has nailed that perfect mix of old-school charm and fresh energy. There’s always a great atmosphere—whether it’s a quiet midweek pint or a lively weekend knees-up.
The beer is top-notch—a rotating selection of well-kept local ales, crisp lagers, and a Guinness that pours like velvet. Not to mention a whisky shelf that could tempt a saint.
Add in the cracking live music nights and the kind of banter that can turn strangers into mates, and you’ve got yourself a true local legend.
The New Crown Inn isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it’s a place to be. Long may it reign! 🍻
Great place to stay! The rooms are freshly renovated and feel brand new. Super comfy bed and a small but cozy bathroom. The pub downstairs, owned by the host, has a great vibe with friendly locals.
There are nice restaurants and a spar 2 in the same street.
Bus stop right at the door takes you to the old town, or it's an easy 30-minute walk. The host was very responsive and even left us some Easter treats.
We highly recommend staying here!

I only pop in every once in a while but the staff and locals always make the visit worthwhile. Always friendly.
I stayed for 1 night 15/03/2025. I was pleasantly surprised by my room, recently renovated & it was lovely! The bed was very comfy.
The Landlady was very accommodating, would definitely stay there again....recommend!!!
The landlady could not have been anymore helpful, she even carried my pint down the stairs to the garden for me.
Proper pub. Everyone was friendly.
I had a cheese and onion roll, I would have welcomed a slightly stronger cheese and a bit more onion but it was what I needed. Took another away for my wife who very much appreciated it.
