About This Pub
Ah, Charmbury Arms – it's one of those hidden gems in Bath that just feels like a proper old-school pub, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place has this inviting atmosphere where everyone seems to get along, with staff and regulars chatting away like old mates. The ales are spot on, and they've got fun touches like skittles and pool to keep things lively without it getting too rowdy. It's affordably priced too, which is always a win for a casual night out, and being so close to the train station makes it dead handy for a quick pint before catching a game or heading home. On the downside, though, it's strictly cash only, so you might have to plan ahead if you're not carrying notes, and without a website, it's not the easiest to sort out the details in advance. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a relaxed spot for a drink and a chat, but do keep those little niggles in mind for a smoother visit.

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I'm off to watch Bath City, this is my go-to spot. It's the first stop after arriving at Oldfield Park train station and the final stop before heading back home.
*Reminder: This place is CASH ONLY!*
This is a local boozer. We played skittles here tonight. The staff and locals are lovely and friendly. The pub is bigger than it looks outside. The sandwiches they made us where just yum! Thank you for a lovely evening 😘
Great locals pub, something we don't have many of left in bath, great selection of ales all kept very well. Nice pool table and other traditional pub games. Bar staff all very friendly
Nice cosy traditional pub. Friendly atmosphere. Fair prices. We always pop in when going to watch Bath City at home. Oldfield Park train station is a minute walk from pub and 10 minutes to twerton Park.
Works for us. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub.
Popped in for a pint at midday on Sunday, and was immediately impressed by the friendly atmosphere and relaxed chatter. Football was on the TV at either end of the pub for those that wanted to watch, at a perfect volume so it wasn't at all intrusive for those that didn't, and the pint of Thatcher's Dry was reasonably-priced and delicious. Would highly recommend!
