About This Pub
Ah, The White Hart – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Crystal Palace. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really stand out; they're consistently friendly and make everyone feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a full meal. The food's another winner – that Sunday roast is spot on, with delicious flavours and portions that leave you satisfied without emptying your wallet. It's got that cosy, homely vibe that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up or even a family outing, and they've a decent selection of beers to boot. On the flip side, a few folks have mentioned that some dishes can come out a tad lukewarm, which might mean your meal cools off faster than you'd like, so perhaps get stuck in right away. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out; I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the minor niggles, and you'll likely leave with a smile.
Pros and Cons

-
The food is a real highlight, especially that Sunday roast; it's packed with flavour, generous portions, and offers great value for a satisfying meal.
-
It's a cosy, homely spot with a laid-back atmosphere that's perfect for a lazy lunch, family dinners, or just catching up with mates over a good beer selection.
-
Prices are reasonable and won't break the bank, which is a nice surprise for the quality you get.
-
They've got a welcoming vibe for families and kids, so it's ideal if you're out with the little ones.
Cons

Some dishes might arrive a bit lukewarm, which means they cool down quickly and could dampen the experience if you're not tucking in straight away.

Recent Reviews
After ten years of pubbing in Crystal Palace, The White Hart remains the most consistently friendly and welcoming in the area. They manage to always employ the best staff who are not only brilliant at their jobs but also great with kids.
Today was no exception.
Rebecca and Tom were fantastic! I couldn’t praise them enough.
Popped here for lunch but ended up staying a few hours! Their lunch deal is extremely good value and the quality and portion sizes served up I couldn’t quite see how they make much of a profit!! Service extremely friendly. On the back of a good visit, I booked a table for 6 for a Saturday night.
Exceptional roast Sunday lunch. Everything on our plates tasted fabulous. The chefs know what they are doing. Very nice place, cosy atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable, lower than I expected for such good quality. We will definitely return. The White Hart is definitely now on our favourites list.
We have been to the White Hart other times, especially for Sunday roast. This time I decided to give it a review. The staff is very polite and friendly, they have a good variety of options for Sunday roast and they are all delicious. The beer selection is also good. One of my favourites places for Sunday roast in Crystal Palace. Recommended
Lovely tradition pub in the heart of Crystal Palace. I had the 21 day aged beef roast with all the trimmings. It was good but food was lukewarm so got cold very quickly. Also tried the halloumi fries and crispy calamari and apple and gooseberry crumble. Nice atmosphere and music.
