About This Pub

Ah, The White Bull – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Chorley. From chatting with folks who've been there, the staff stand out as the real stars; they're warm, efficient, and always up for a laugh, making sure you're not left twiddling your thumbs at the bar. The drinks selection is spot on, with affordable options that hit the spot, and it's brilliant for a night out with live music or catching the big game on their screens. Plus, the food gets rave reviews – that onion soup sounds like a must-try if you're stopping in for a bite. On the downside, a few people have mentioned the smokers loitering outside, which could spoil the entrance a bit and make it less inviting on certain days. All in all, with such positive buzz around it, I'd say it's well worth popping in for a pint and some good times, as long as you're prepared for that one little hiccup.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're friendly, quick to serve, and really make you feel part of the community.
  • You've got a cracking selection of beers and drinks at fair prices, like that £4.50 Guinness that's always a winner.
  • It's packed with entertainment, from live acts to plenty of screens for watching the footy or other sports.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, with a proper community feel that makes it a great spot to catch up with mates.
  • The food is a real treat, especially things like that delicious onion soup – highly recommended if you're peckish.
Cons
  • There can be smokers hanging around the front door, which might put you off if you're not keen on that smoky waft when you arrive.
