About This Pub

Ah, Bootleggers Bar in Chorley – what a gem it is, though it's not without its little quirks. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars; they're warm, welcoming, and really make the place feel like a proper local hangout where you can just chat away the evening. The atmosphere is spot on too, with a quirky feel and even a DJ taking requests, which adds a fun twist to your night – I can imagine it getting lively without being overwhelming. Prices are fair, and they've got some decent local ales that hit the spot nicely. On the flip side, the beer choices aren't exactly vast, so if you're a beer enthusiast looking for something really unique, you might find it a bit lacking. Plus, it's tucked away a touch, which is endearing but could be a hassle if you're new to the area, and the operating hours look a bit muddled, so I'd suggest checking ahead. All in all, it's a welcoming spot that's worth a visit for a relaxed catch-up, but go in with realistic expectations and you'll have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's got a lovely, warm atmosphere with a convivial vibe that's perfect for a relaxed night out with mates.
  • Prices are spot on – excellent value for drinks, including some cracking local ales and cask beers.
  • Quirky charm makes it a real hidden gem in Chorley, with a DJ taking requests to keep things lively.
  • Free car park at night is a bonus, especially if you're popping in after work or for an evening session.
Cons
  • The beer selection isn't the most extensive, so if you're after a wide variety, you might be a tad disappointed.
  • It can feel a bit hidden away, which is charming but might make it tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area.
  • Operating hours seem a bit inconsistent from what's listed, so it's worth double-checking before heading out.
  • Not many recent reviews, which makes me wonder if it's as buzzing as it used to be – always good to see fresh feedback.
