About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about Cosmopolitan – it's one of those places in Chorley that just gets it right more often than not. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real highlight; folks are raving about dishes like the teriyaki salmon and Sunday roasts, saying they're packed with flavour and offer brilliant value without breaking the bank. The cocktails are another winner, with a selection that's spot on for a fun night out, and the staff? Well, they're the cherry on top, always friendly and ready to make your visit memorable, just like in those glowing reviews where people mention how accommodating they are. On the flip side, it's a shame it's closed for the first half of the week, which might cramp your style if you're after a spontaneous Tuesday tipple. Plus, with a smaller menu, it might not have the widest choices, but honestly, what they do have is done so well that you won't mind. All in all, if you're heading to Chorley for a meal or drinks, I'd say give it a go – it's got that winning combination of good vibes and solid offerings that makes for a proper enjoyable evening.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely divine – think perfectly cooked salmon, top-notch Sunday roasts, and steaks that are spot on every time, all at a great value.
  • The cocktails are second to none, with a brilliant selection that really hits the spot, especially if you're after something a bit special.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in – it's like catching up with old mates.
  • It's got a lovely atmosphere, with plenty of space inside and out, making it ideal for a relaxed meal or a lively catch-up with friends.
  • They've racked up some impressive awards, like the Good Food Awards and Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice, which shows they're consistently delivering the goods.
Cons
  • It's only open four days a week, so if you're planning a midweek outing, you might have to look elsewhere.
  • The menu is on the smaller side, which means fewer options if you're after something really varied, though what's on offer is executed brilliantly.
  • Being just off the high street, it might not be the easiest spot to find if you're not familiar with Chorley, and it could get busy on the weekends.

Just off the high street in a quiet area of Chorley is this impressive fully utilised bar and restaurant. Outdoor seating with two floors inside gives good space and seating for diners, drinkers alike. Varied dining and menu or cocktails and drinks served by smartly dressed and attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyable food and drinks.

5 stars all round. The food is brilliant - a small but well executed menu. The cocktails are second to non. Service from Aaron was faultless - a friendly chatty server with expert mixology knowledge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
