About This Pub
Oh, what a gem The Wheatsheaf & Pigeon is – it's one of those local spots that just feels like a second home, tucked away in Staines with its welcoming corners and that affectionate nickname, the 'Wee and Pee'. From what I've gathered chatting about it, the food really steals the show; imagine tucking into home-cooked classics like a proper Sunday roast or fish and chips that hit the spot every time, all served up in a relaxed setting that's perfect for catching up with friends. They've got a brilliant lineup of events too, from karaoke nights and live music to quiz evenings and even a tapas week, which keeps things lively without overwhelming the traditional pub feel. On the flip side, it's got that old-school charm that some might find a bit dated, and there have been a couple of grumbles about extras like service charges popping up unexpectedly, which can dampen the mood a touch. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back night out – just go in with an open mind, and you'll likely have a cracking time, especially if you're after good value and a bit of community spirit.

Good standard pub, a bit old fashioned but that's the charm of it...
Good home cooked food too

We visited the Weatsheaf and Pigeon on Wednesday night the 16/04/25 the food, the service was great, the atmosphere was really good. The only thing stopping me giving a 4 or 5 star review was that they added a 10% optional service charge without asking me first. It's my understanding that optional means that it's my choice not mandatory.
Great local pub and the food there is epic. The onion rings! The Sunday roasts, fish n chips... Slowly working my way through the menu.
Happy days
I just had a drink here while out walking my dog but found the staff really pleasant and welcoming along with the service.
A quaint and cosy local pub with a great menu and a warm atmosphere. Staff were friendly and accommodating especially off the menu for our veggie friend
