About This Pub

Oh, what a treat The Washhouse is – it's one of those places that really stands out in Manchester, with its clever laundrette theme that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden adventure. I love how the cocktails are crafted with such care, and the staff are genuinely warm, taking the time to chat about the menu and make recommendations that hit the spot every time. It's ideal for a fun night with mates, where the atmosphere buzzes with excitement and those little surprises keep things fresh and engaging. That said, it's not without its downsides; the prices are on the steep side, so it might not be your go-to for a casual pint, and on busier nights, you could find yourself waiting a while for your next round, which takes a bit of the shine off. Overall, though, if you're up for splashing out on a unique experience and you book in advance, it's well worth a visit for anyone looking to add a dash of magic to their evening out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The theming is absolutely brilliant – it's like stepping into a secret world, with surprises around every corner that make for a memorable night out.
  • The cocktails are top-notch; they're creative, delicious, and the staff go out of their way to explain everything, so you end up loving every sip.
  • Service is spot on – friendly folks who make you feel right at home, adding a real personal touch to the experience.
  • It's got a cracking atmosphere, perfect for a special evening with friends or a date, especially with those late hours for a proper night on the town.
Cons
  • It can be a bit pricey, so it's not the best spot if you're watching your wallet, as the costs add up quickly for drinks and the overall vibe.
  • Things can get busy, leading to waits for your drinks, which might put a dampener on the fun if you're hoping for a relaxed evening.
  • The booking system is quite strict with fees and rules, so you'll need to plan ahead to avoid any hassle or extra charges.

The Washhouse Manchester – A Hidden Gem That Redefines Nightlife What. A. Night. Tucked away behind what looks like an ordinary laundrette, The Washhouse is anything but ordinary. From the moment you figure out how to get in (yes, through a vending machine), you know you’re in for something special — and it only gets better from there. The cocktails? Next-level. Thoughtfully crafted, wildly creative, and full of surprises. Make sure you ask about the secret menu — it’s where the real magic lives. Every corner of this place is built for discovery. From the cheeky DJ moment in the toilets to the hidden rooms and unexpected experiences, The Washhouse delivers immersive vibes with a side of mystery. It’s not just a bar — it’s an adventure. Explore the entire place. Trust me, it doesn’t disappoint. A top-tier Saturday night spot. Already planning my next visit.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here! The atmosphere and cocktails were brilliant. The service was exceptional. Our server Taylor really took time to explain the menu, different cocktails, and the options well. This meant we loved every cocktail we chose and got to enjoy the story and theme behind them all, too! The cocktails were amazing, but there was also a separate secret menu to find, a disco bathroom, and a hidden room that all added to the experience! We had such a good time, and it was well worth every penny!

Came here with no clue what it really was. The theming was superb and i loved the attention to detail. I will say this is a place with PLENTY of surprises if you dont know anything about it. The price was high, but the detail of the cocktails, the menu, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place, its worth it for a treat. When we got here aswell there were some difficult people around, the bouncer handled that situation really well and stayed respectful, despite the disrespect he recieved.

I had been excited to visit the washouse for a while. However, I left feeling quite disappointed. I will give it the benefit of doubt because we went on a Saturday and it appeared to be quite busy. I was there for two hours and I got two drinks. My boyfriend and I got two cocktails each and it came to around £60. The cocktails were warm unfortunately. However, the girl taking care of our table was very lovely and welcoming and I can say the same for all the staff. I do think we maybe just caught them at a bad time.

Attended here last night after wanting to come for a couple of years, and this place was worth the wait. Absolutely spectacular experience. The drinks, the atmosphere. The service from Ben and the bar staff also deserves a special mention! Just overwhelmed by the whole experience, it was so lovely. I’ll be recommending this place to anyone who listens and looking for my next excuse to visit!
