About This Pub

Ah, The Warwick Pimlico, what a gem it is in the midst of bustling London. I've got to say, chatting about this place feels like recommending a mate's local – it's got that warm, unpretentious charm that makes you want to linger. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the food really steals the show; folks rave about the Sunday roasts being top-notch, with fresh, seasonal ingredients and generous portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. That Yorkshire pudding Jack mentioned sounds like a winner, and it's clear the team puts real heart into their dishes. Pair that with friendly service that's attentive but never overbearing – think staff who smile genuinely and keep things running smoothly – and you've got a spot that's perfect for everything from a quick drink to a full meal. Upstairs, there's a quieter dining room if you're after a bit more peace, which is handy on busier evenings. On the flip side, though, timing is everything here; the kitchen shuts at specific hours, so you might turn up hankering for a venison burger like Dai and find it's not on offer, which could be a bit of a letdown. And while it's generally buzzing in a good way, it might not suit if you're seeking utter tranquility. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone in the area – honest, reliable, and with that classic pub feel that keeps you coming back for more.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, especially those Sunday roasts – fresh ingredients and proper effort make them a real treat, like that five-day gravy Linda mentioned!
  • The staff are so welcoming and attentive; they'll keep your glass topped up without you even asking, as Gemma and Alexis found out.
  • It's got a lovely relaxed vibe in the heart of Pimlico, just a short walk from Victoria station, making it ideal for a casual catch-up over drinks.
  • A great selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, plus it's dog-friendly and offers free WiFi, so you can pop in with your furry mate and stay connected.
Cons
  • The kitchen has set hours, so if you're popping in at the wrong time, like Dai did, you might miss out on food and just have to stick to drinks.
  • It can get a bit busy downstairs, which might make it feel less peaceful if you're after a quiet spot – though the first-floor dining room is a nice escape if you can nab it.
  • With the pub closing relatively early on some nights, you might need to plan ahead if you're hoping for a late-night session.

Their Sunday Roast is outstanding and reflects the care and pride they take in the food they serve. (Who ever heard of spending FIVE DAYS to make gravy?) A simple chef salad made my day. The ingredients were so fresh and the dressing so light that in the three days we have been here we have eaten there twice.

A lovely Victorian pub in the heart of Pimlico. An offering of 9 keg beers and ciders along with three cask ales. Delightful staff looking jolly and happy to serve drinks. Bad timing on my part, the kitchen is closed. The Venison Burger looked very tempting (I've never had a burger from Venus). A gorgeous little pub, well worth a visit.

We went for a Sunday roast dinner and drinks and were definitely not disappointed! The food was delicious and the gravy nice and thick. Dessert was yummy too. Staff were very attentive when our glasses were empty and would ask if we needed a refill.

Soon after arriving in London, we went looking for a Sunday roast dinner experience. I'm so glad we found the Warwick! We had the vegetarian and half-chicken versions, and everything was on point. We had possibly the best Yorkshire pudding we tried during our trip through the UK, and the portions were so generous, we had enough potatoes and gravy for a nice snack later on. We'll measure all other Sunday roast dinners by this one as the gold standard. Thank you!

What a pristine place!! The food was delicious followed by service that could not be topped anywhere else! The workers were so friendly and accommodating! Scott was super welcoming and did everything he could to accommodate our large party. He was polite and patient with a smile that never left his face! We will absolutely be returning whenever we can! After spending two days straight here, we will always recommend this as our first place of business! Drinks and cocktail list was perfect and delicious! Beer was tasty too! Tried about their whole menu within two days and would still frequent the spot!
