About This Pub

Ah, let's chat about The Vine Inn – it's one of those pubs that really hits the mark for a proper evening out. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the food is a standout; think expertly spiced dishes like chilli chips and mixed grills that leave you wanting more, all served up with that homely touch. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand to make sure everything's just right, and the atmosphere is spot on for unwinding with a pint and maybe catching some sport on the telly. It's got that community feel that makes you want to pop in regularly. On the other hand, it's not without its drawbacks – a few have mentioned it's not the same as before, with the jukebox and pool table gone, and the vibe feeling a bit quieter these days. Still, if you're after solid grub and a friendly spot in Worcester, it's well worth a visit, but maybe temper your expectations if you're chasing those nostalgic pub memories.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – from those moorish chilli chips to the sizzling mixed grills, it's all packed with flavour and there's a brilliant variety to choose from.
  • The staff are so friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's got a lovely atmosphere, perfect for catching the footy on the big screen or just enjoying a relaxed evening with mates.
  • Prices are pretty reasonable, offering good value without breaking the bank, which is always a plus for a night out.
Cons
  • It doesn't quite live up to its past glory, with things like the jukebox and pool table having disappeared, which might disappoint if you're after that old-school pub feel.
  • Opening hours are a bit limited, mainly evenings from around 2 or 3 PM, so it might not be ideal if you're looking for a spot earlier in the day.
  • Some changes, like shifts in management and a loss of the lively banter, mean it feels a tad different from what regulars remember, which could leave a few feeling let down.

Always amazing tasting food & friendly customer service. Never disappoint. So much to choose from on the menu & the chilli chips are moorish & sooo tasty! We travel from Gloucester regularly for the food & they show sports which is a bonus!

It looks OK but it's not what it used to be. Once upon a time I would go to this pub 3 or 4 times a week. There were loads of good people in there. 2 or 3 landlords later and my jukebox is GONE, the pool table is GONE, the banter is GONE, my friends got barred (GONE) and they only open the pub every now and then. It looks nicer now and the food is apparently very good. The lager they sold last time I was in there was very nice. It was just really odd, seeing all these middle class people with beards and nice sweaters in there. If I had just moved to the area and didn't know how awesome it used to be, I would probably like it, that's assuming it was open of course.

Had the large mixed grill. Extra portion of lamb chops and all I can say is wow. Amazing quality lovely looking place inside staff were very helpful on the phone and friendly in person. Really enjoyed will be back. My photos do not do the food justice as I did not think to take pictures till halfway through. Very good value for money.

We had a fantastic time! The food is beautifully cooked by an expert chef and spiced to perfection. The popadums are to die for as well as the sizzling mixed grill. Great atmosphere, very surprised it's not busier! A great spot to watch the footy with your mates on a Saturday with a huge TV screen. Susan is a lovely waitress, always smiling 😊 My only criticism, the ordering system! Please get menus, you have to scan a QR code then order at the bar.
