About This Pub

Ah, The Swan Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub in Worcester, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The staff really shine through; they're polite, knowledgeable, and quick to make you feel at ease, whether you're popping in for a quiet pint or joining in the karaoke fun on a Saturday. The food comes out fast and it's spot on for the price, with plenty of options that won't leave you disappointed. Plus, with things like live music and free pool nights, there's something for everyone, from those after a relaxed midweek drink to folks wanting a bit more excitement at the weekend. On the flip side, it's not all perfect – some evenings can get a bit noisy with music or parties carrying on late, which might not suit if you're staying over or need some peace. And speaking of staying, the rooms are a mixed bag; they're good value but can feel cramped and miss out on a few essentials, though the staff are on hand to fix that up. Overall, it's a solid choice for a genuine pub experience – honest, unpretentious, and full of character – but it'd be great if they tidied up those little rough edges to make it even better for everyone.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful advice – it's like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
  • You get brilliant value for your money here; the drinks and food are reasonably priced, making it a top spot for a casual night out without breaking the bank.
  • There's a fantastic atmosphere with plenty of entertainment on offer, like karaoke on Saturdays and live music, so it's perfect if you're after a bit of fun or a lively vibe.
  • It's a lovely old pub with a charming, traditional feel, and the nearby duck pond adds a unique, quaint touch that makes it stand out.
Cons
  • Occasionally, the noise can get a bit out of hand, especially with loud music or events going on late into the night, which might keep you up if you're hoping for a quiet evening.
  • If you're thinking of staying in one of the rooms, they can be on the small side and might lack some basics like a TV or proper amenities, though the team does step in to sort things out.
  • The decor and certain facilities feel a tad outdated and could do with a refresh, so it might not feel as polished as some newer spots.

If you want a nice quiet pint in the week, or a more lively night at the weekend, offering live music, karaoke and free pool nights, this pub offers something for everyone! You cannot argue with the prices of the alcohol, and the food is amazing, with great prices! The swan inn is a diverse pub and you will always be made to feel welcome in this pub! Would highly recommend to everyone!!!

Nice enough rooms. Good value for money. Friendly staff and locals in the bar. Only hassle we had was the was very loud dance music and what sounded like a party going on in the bar untill gone 3am. It was a Tuesday night and I had to work next day. I didn't say anything so they maybe didn't realise I could hear... But worth knowing before you book.

Room very small and lacking the basics , no TV mirror hairdryer , no milk coffee or plug in sink ! They did get me a TV hairdryer and mirror, the staff were very helpful , They are just starting out so hope it improves carpet and décor horrible. Thanks for your reply but it's adverted as TV WiFi hairdryer etc , there was only one teabag in the room no milk didn't get any of that until the next day after asking barmaid ! I was not offered free food in bar , I never even got breakfast the 2nd day as everything was locked up still at 8,45 am ! And I had appointment so couldn't wait any longer ,! And also the TV stopped working after an hour no signal , not the best having the lead through the window , no security as the door to fire exit didn't lock as I was the only one in property and no one on site not the best , I don't think no mirror or plug in sink is excepable, !! The couple in the double room left didn't even do a night says it all
