About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Victoria Inn, it's got that classic pub charm that makes you want to settle in for a chat and a drink. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems – always polite and making sure you're looked after, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. It's spot-on if you're after a good pint or fancy watching the footy on one of the many tellies; I've heard it's a proper go-to for that. On the flip side, it's not the place I'd recommend for a family day out – it's more geared towards adults kicking back with a beer. And honestly, there are a couple of downsides, like the odd time when drinks aren't all available or you might get something that's not quite what you ordered, plus the loos aren't up to scratch, which is a shame. Overall, with a solid rating, it's worth popping in if you're local, but go in with realistic expectations – it's got heart, but it's not without its rough patches.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are really welcoming and polite, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's a great spot for a nice pint – folks often rave about the beer, and it's just what you want from a traditional pub.
  • If you're a footy fan, you'll love the TVs everywhere, perfect for catching the match with your mates.
Cons
  • It's not really set up for families, more of a grown-ups' hangout with a focus on drinks and sport.
  • Sometimes the drink selection falls short – not everything on the menu is available, and there might be mix-ups with what's poured.
  • The toilets could do with a bit of an upgrade; it's a small niggle, but it does let the place down a touch.

Just had drinks here. Bar staff very polite, not a family type pub. Tvs everywhere for football. Not all drinks on show available. Not sure the correct beer was in what we ordered either.

Love this place and the people running the place are wonderful and friendly - one small thing and it's not a complaint, the loos could do with an upgrade. Otherwise lovely place to go. Xxx
