About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about the Plough & Harrow – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper night out without any fuss. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute gems, always greeting you with a smile and making sure everything's just right, which really adds to that cosy, community feel. The beers are spot on too, with a great range of ales that'd make any beer fan happy, and it's kept so clean that you don't have to worry about anything but enjoying your time. On the flip side, it seems like it's not quite perfect for all tastes; one person rated it as just good rather than brilliant, and without a website, it's a tad hard to get the lowdown before you pop in. Still, with an overall rating pushing 4.5, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – a solid spot for a pint and a laugh, without any pretentious nonsense.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got a cracking selection of ales and beers, perfect for anyone who loves a good pint.
  • It's spotlessly clean, which is always a plus when you're settling in for a chat and a drink.
  • The overall vibe is just like a proper English pub should be – warm, relaxed, and full of character.
Cons
  • One review suggested it's more of a solid local option rather than anything extraordinary, so it might not wow everyone.
  • There's no website listed, which makes it a bit tricky to check out what's on offer or plan a visit in advance.

The Plough and Harrow in Cradley Heath is a true standout! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The selection of cask beer is top-notch, offering a variety that's sure to please any beer enthusiast. But what really sets this place apart is the welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly locals. I couldn't resist trying the crusty cobs with their delicious fresh fillings, including turkey, stuffing and gravy on our pre-Christmas visit – a perfect accompaniment to our recently beers. And when the weather's nice, the beer garden at the rear is the place to be, complete with a large barbecue where you can enjoy tasty grilled treats, when it's fired up for special occasions. Whether you're looking for a relaxing evening with friends or a lively atmosphere to meet new people, the Plough and Harrow delivers on all fronts. I'll definitely be returning for more good times and great beer!
