About This Pub
Ah, The Unicorn Pub – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered, it's all about that welcoming vibe where the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel at ease, whether you're popping in for a quick beer or settling in for some classic pub nosh. The food gets a big thumbs up; think hearty dishes like ham, egg and chips or homemade treats that hit the spot, and they've even got options for gluten-free folks, which is a nice touch for those with specific preferences. Sports fans will love it too, with live coverage of everything from football to rugby keeping things buzzing. That heated outdoor area is a real winner for when the weather's playing up, and it's spot on for families or groups wanting to book a function space. On the flip side, do keep an eye on the kitchen hours, as it might shut a bit earlier than you'd hope, and if you're in the mood for something beyond the traditional, it could feel a touch limited. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, as it captures that genuine pub spirit without any fuss.

My friends and I stopped here for our first meal on our UK trip and had a great time! The service was wonderful and the bar staff were very welcoming and friendly. I was delighted that they had a GF lasagna as an option. It's the type of place that I could see myself being a regular at!
Our 1st day in the UK and we decided to go out for some beers and a bite to eat. We came upon The Unicorn, lovely place and super friendly people. When we decided to finally eat we found out the kitchen had closed up an hour before. The owner Deb asked if we liked pizza and literally called a place down the road and booked us a table for 2 and then drive us there.amd walked us inside to make sure they took care of us. After eating we walked back just to hang out and drink with the locals and thank Deb.
I highly recommend stopping in, having a pint and saying hi!
Very nice and cosy place, we were welcomed with a small child and stroller was no problem. The staff was super nice and helpful. Food was very tasty and we didn’t wait long. We had some traditional dishes, as far as English cousine goes the food was good, not oversized neither small. Really nothing to complain about. Thank you very much
My sisters and I travelled from Australia and we had lunch here- we absolutely loved the environment, classic pub food and lovely service.
10/10 would recommend.
A lovely traditional pub, serving good pub food like ham , egg and chips . The landlady was very welcoming even when busy getting ready to open up . We enjoyed the homemade bread pudding with ice cream, just like my Nan used to make . Great service at the bar too.
