About This Pub
Ah, The Tuning Fork – it's one of those places that just makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. I've heard from plenty of folks that the Sunday lunch is an absolute treat, all tasty and generous portions that leave you satisfied, and the breakfasts are spot on too, with things like eggs Benedict stealing the show. The team there are proper lovely, always efficient and friendly, which really adds to the relaxed atmosphere, whether you're popping in for a quick bite or celebrating something special. On the flip side, it can get a bit hectic, especially during peak times, so you might find yourself waiting a minute or dealing with the odd item being out of stock, like butter for the banana bread. Still, with such high praise overall, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after good, honest food in a comfortable setting – just maybe plan ahead if you're going with a group!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely divine – think mouthwatering Sunday lunches, spectacular breakfasts like avocado and eggs, and even simple sausage sandwiches that hit the spot.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient, always well-mannered and ready to make your visit enjoyable, with a special nod to their manager who's modest but knowledgeable.
-
It's got a brilliant atmosphere, perfect for family occasions or a relaxed meal with mates, making it feel warm and welcoming.
-
With a solid 4.5 rating from loads of reviews, it's clear this place consistently delivers on tasty grub and good vibes.
Cons
-
It can get really busy, which might mean a bit of a wait or them running out of small things like butter or fresh blueberries.
-
Occasionally, the service might start off a tad slow if the team are caught up in a chat, though they quickly get back on track.
-
Some feedback mentions minor niggles with food freshness, like blueberries not looking their best, which is a shame but not a deal-breaker.

The best place to be for a family occasion the Sunday lunch is DIVINE, tasty and abundant.
The atmosphere is brilliant, the staff is very well mannered and very efficient. the service is friendly and well organised by their Manager Gary, very knowledgeable but likes to keep a low profile, his modest appearance hides a vast amount of experience.
I visit the tuning fork once or twice a month with my son as we enjoy a good Sunday roast NEVER DISAPPOINTING!!
Keep it going and WELL DONE
THANK YOU 🙏
Potentially one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! Went for my dad's birthday for a treat and honestly all of the food was spectacular, couldn't fault it! We ordered the avocado and eggs and my dad had an eggs Benedict. Such amazing food and the staff were very lovely even though they were quite busy at the time!
This was my first time visiting here. It was recommended to me. Very busy but were able to fit us in.
I had avocado and mushrooms on sourdough bread. It was delicious. One friend had banana bread but hey had run out of butter. Also she had blueberries on the plate which didn't look very fresh. The other friend had an enormous slice of carrot cake which she said was lovely.
The young ladies that were serving us were great.
Had a wonderful lunch here, we ordered Grilled Chicken and a side of fries , Veg Burrito with side salad, Toast Two Way & Olive Side, Choc. Truffle Slice and a Honey Caramel Cake along with a couple of Capuccinos. Everything was splendid, service was impeccable and atmosphere was very comfortable. Special mention for the very warm and hospitable Head Hostess and friendly serving staff. All in all we had a 10/10 experience and would like to visit again to try other dishes from the menu. It’s a great find indeed 😁🏆
We called in for a sausage sandwich which I couldn't see on the menu, once the staff had finished their conversation they became most attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwich which was embellished with a fried egg . My latte was first class and my colleague enjoyed his pot of tea. We will definitely call in again next time we are in Rugby.
