About This Pub
Oh, The Three Wishes is one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? With a solid 4.4 rating from folks who've popped in, it's clear that people love the welcoming atmosphere and the top-notch staff who go out of their way to make everyone feel at ease. I mean, reading through the reviews, it's all about that friendly landlady and bar team, plus the clean surroundings that make it a comfortable spot to settle in for a Guinness or whatever takes your fancy. They've got the basics covered nicely – beers, soft drinks, and a bit of food like pizza – and it's open every day from midday till midnight, which is brilliant for a spontaneous catch-up. On the flip side, it doesn't shout about itself online with no website to speak of, and the menu might not wow you if you're after more than simple fare. Still, for an affordable, no-fuss night out, it's a winner, especially if you're in the area or popping by for an event nearby. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit for that genuine pub feel, but keep expectations realistic if you're after something more elaborate.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home, with their friendly chats and warm welcomes.
-
It's a cracking local spot with a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed pint or catching up with mates.
-
The place is spotlessly clean, which always makes for a more enjoyable visit.
-
They've got a solid selection of beers, soft drinks, and even some grub like pizza, all at affordable prices.
-
Live music and events add a bit of excitement, making it a great choice for a casual night out.
Cons
-
The food options seem a bit limited, mostly sticking to basics like pizza, so it might not satisfy if you're after a full meal.
-
No website means it's trickier to check details online before heading over, which could be a hassle for planning.
-
From what I've seen, it's more of a straightforward pub without loads of fancy extras, so it might feel a tad ordinary if you're seeking something unique.

Cleanliness
The pub looked clean and staff were collecting empty glasses.
What's on offer
Beer, soft drinks, some food, at least pizza.
You go in and on your left is the bar and on the right several chairs and tables as well as some stools at the bar.
Further on is another lounge area with plenty of tables and chairs. At least four or five televisions showing live sport. An area in the further lounge from the entrance had some small pictures for sale at £25.
The pub seems comfortable and spacious.
Price
Around £2-£3 for soft drinks.
Credit cards
Cards are accepted.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere is good, warm friendly relaxed.
Service
Staff were friendly, helpful and seemed to be comfortable with banter from customers. Service was quite quick when I was ordering.
Toilets
Toilets require you to go down a lot of steps. The gents cubicle had a broken lock.

Wonderful place really warm. It’s the best to spend sometime having a Guinness and whatever. Suggested.
