About This Pub
Ah, the Whittington – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Pinner, where you can pop in for a relaxed afternoon or evening with friends. From what I've gathered, folks are raving about the welcoming vibe; it's spacious enough for a big group without feeling crowded, and the music sets a great tone without overwhelming the chat. The food really shines too – think hearty Sunday lunches or fish and chips that hit the mark, all at prices that won't break the bank. Plus, with live sports on the telly and events like the Women's Euros, it's a brilliant place to cheer on your team. The staff are the real stars here, always cheerful and on point with service, making every visit feel personal. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; there've been a few mentions of food not quite living up to expectations, like the odd burnt bit or beer that's a bit too frothy. And while it's dog-friendly, some have suggested they could add a few more treats for furry companions on the menu. Overall, it's a solid choice for a pint and a bite, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep those little hiccups in mind for a smoother experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's spacious, welcoming, and perfect for catching up with mates over a pint or a meal.
-
The food is a real highlight; think tasty dishes like fish and chips or steak that's spot on, with generous portions that leave you satisfied.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's great for groups, with plenty of room and a clean setup that's ideal for family outings or watching live sports like the Women's Euros or rugby matches.
-
Being dog-friendly and family-friendly adds a nice touch, plus they've got top facilities like Sky Sports and a car park for convenience.
Cons
-
There have been a few slip-ups with the food, like some items coming out a bit burnt, which can put a damper on things.
-
The beer might be served a tad too enthusiastically, leading to overflows that could use a bit more care.
-
Some dishes, such as the fully loaded chips, could do with a bit more sauce to really hit the spot.
-
It's a shame they haven't expanded the menu to include more options for dogs, as that could make it even more appealing for pet owners.

Lovely pub around the block. We visited on a weekday with relatives and so had the entire place almost to ourselves! There's good music, great food, and an excellent atmosphere. There's ample space and it's suitable for large group hangouts too. The servers here have a great attitude and we loved our food and drinks. I had the Korean barbeque ribs and I absolutely loved it! Would definitely recommend.
Lovely meal today. Fish and chips for my Nan, delicious, and a sirloin steak lovely too. Excellent customer service too from 2 lovely ladies who were friendly and welcoming.
2nd time I've come to this pub, this time with friends. I was not disappointed. Such a pretty pub, incredibly clean with chairs and tables spaced out so patrons can access the floor area without difficulty. The toilets are spotless!! The food is fantastic and are good size portions. Great place for a family or friends get together. Staff are polite and accommodating. My next visit will be for the Sunday roast 👍
Fantastic pub that does quality food at great prices. It’s been a long time since we spent so little on Sunday Lunch! Great service as well.
Some items introduced for dog too on menu would be great. Food was pretty fresh, good except some burnt bacon/chicken. Beer was way too fully loaded that was overflowing falling from the glass!
Fully loaded chips need more sauce.
Wings were brilliantly cooked.
Staff are lovely as is service.
Good weekday deals.
Parking nearby is advisable as one there gets pretty filled up.
Will surely visit again.
