About This Pub
Ah, The Three Sails Sports Bar – it's one of those places that just makes you smile when you think about it. From what I've gathered, it's got this really welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at ease, whether you're there for a casual pint or to dive into the excitement of live sports on their huge screens. The staff sound like absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, and at £3 a pint, you can't go wrong with the prices – it's a proper treat for your wallet. They've got all sorts going on too, like music nights, quizzes, and even a top darts setup for a bit of fun, plus it's great that they welcome dogs and families until 9pm, making it versatile for different groups. On the flip side, though, it kicks off a bit late on weekdays at 6pm, so if you're an early bird, you might miss out. And while it's brilliant for a lively evening, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of food, which could be a downside if you're after a proper meal with your drink. Overall, it's a solid choice for us pub goers looking for good times without breaking the bank, but it might not suit everyone if you're after something quieter or more food-focused – still, I'd say it's worth a visit for the positives alone!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's a fantastic spot for catching live sports with massive screens and a brilliant sound system – perfect for cheering on your team with a pint in hand.
-
Drinks are really good value, like beers at just £3 a pint, which keeps things affordable for a night out.
-
They've got a great lineup of events, from music nights and quizzes to karaoke, keeping the entertainment fresh and fun.
-
It's dog-friendly and welcomes kids until 9pm, so it's ideal for families or if you're popping in with your furry mate.
Cons
-
It doesn't open until 6pm on weekdays, which might be a bit late if you're after an early evening drink.
-
There's no mention of food options, so you might just be limited to drinks and perhaps some snacks, which could leave you wanting more.
-
As a sports bar, it can get quite lively and noisy with the games and music, so it might not be the best for a quiet chat.
-
With only a handful of reviews and none in the last six months, it seems like it might not be as buzzing as some other spots right now.

Love the sails. Friendly place for kids and parents alike and good value for money.
Just popped in for a drink to watch a bit of the football. Really friendly atmosphere and the little interaction I had with the staff was fantastic and helpful.... nice place
Five Stars All The Way. A nice clean friendly Sports Bar . Special mention to Emily whose warm friendly smile and lovely phone manner brightens the venue. No doubt a great 5 star rating. Where else can you watch Sky Sports on giant screens with beer only 3 pounds a pint?
