About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Three Oaks; it's one of those places that just hits the spot every time. I've heard from folks who've popped in that the food is an absolute delight – we're talking innovative dishes that are as tasty as they are beautifully presented, with seasonal menus that keep things exciting without breaking the bank. The service? Well, it's spot on; the team are so welcoming and attentive, always ready to sort out any special requests, like gluten-free options, which makes you feel looked after from the moment you walk in. And the atmosphere is just lovely – cosy and warm, with tables spaced out nicely so you can actually hear your mates without shouting over the crowd. It's got that classic pub charm mixed with a bit of gastro flair, ideal for a lazy Sunday lunch or a midweek dinner. On the flip side, it's only open five days a week, so if you're planning a spontaneous visit, you might find the doors shut on Mondays or Tuesdays, which is a shame. Plus, it can get buzzing on weekends, so booking ahead is a must to avoid any hassle. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and after a proper good time – I'd say give it a go if you haven't already; you won't be disappointed!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely top-notch – innovative, beautifully presented, and delicious, with seasonal menus that change to keep things fresh and exciting.
  • Service is warm and attentive; the staff are charming, informative, and go out of their way to handle special requests, like dietary needs, making you feel right at home.
  • It's got a lovely, cosy atmosphere with well-spaced tables, which means you can enjoy a relaxed chat without feeling cramped, and they've even got thoughtful touches like air purifiers.
  • Great value for money with fairly priced meals and wine, plus options like set menus and specials that make it accessible for a midweek treat or weekend indulgence.
  • The pub has a vibrant and welcoming vibe, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or even a Sunday roast, and it's earned its award-winning status for good reason.
Cons
  • It's only open five days a week, which might be a bit of a letdown if you're hoping for a pint or meal on Mondays or Tuesdays.
  • On busy evenings, like Saturdays, things can get quite lively, so you might need to book ahead to avoid any waits or a rushed feel.
  • While the location in Gerrards Cross is charming, it's a tad out of the way for those not in the area, so getting there could take a bit of effort if you're travelling from further afield.

We were visiting from California and were at my nephews in Beaconsfield. He know that I love Pubs, and decided to take us to this elegant Pub called the Three oaks. The tables are well spaced apart,it was interesting that they had an air purifier with ultra violet light on a wall, really thoughtful . The service in-spite of us being there towards the end of service hours for lunch was excellent, attentive and helpful. The wine list was extensive and the food was delectable. All in all an excellent experience

We had a problem with a gluten-free meal for one of our group, but the pub staff could not have responded better. They offered to waive the whole bill but the meals the rest of us had were so good we would have felt guilty accepting such a generous offer, and agreed a compromise where we paid for everything except the gluten free meal The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service excellent. Particularly good were the red curry soup and ribeye steak (go on a Wednesday for steak night discount). We will definitely by back.
