About This Pub
Ah, The Rose & Crown – it's one of those classic pubs that just draws you in with its warm, homely feel and a crowd that's always up for a laugh. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant community spirit where everyone chats away like old mates, and the bar staff really go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. The food stands out too; that roast dinner sounds like a winner, especially for the price, and the gardens are a lovely spot to unwind with a drink. It's open every day from 11 until 11 at night, which is handy for a spontaneous stop-off. On the downside, though, there were a couple of gripes about the space not being clearly divided for families and adults, which might put some off if you're after a quieter evening. Plus, the dog policy seemed a bit muddled for one visitor, and not every meal hit the mark – that frozen lamb shank story was a real shame. Overall, with a solid 4.3 rating, it's got more going for it than not, so if you're nearby in Slough, I'd say give it a go for a relaxed pint and see for yourself; it's all about that balance of good times and the odd hiccup that keeps things real.

Friendly locals pub. Service was good. There were 2 rooms but children were playing in both, would have been nicer to have adult bar and family room. Car park to the side. Nice place to stop for a quick drink.
A fantastic roast dinner for the price, fantastic chef and great staff, the pub itself is a hidden gem with friendly locals and a lovely atmosphere and gardens, we will definitely be visiting again
Advertised as a dog friendly pub. I booked a table for lunch after asking if it was dog friendly only to be told on arrival that we couldn’t eat in the dining area as we had a dog with us. Food was mediocre I had lamb shank and it was still frozen by the bone
I went with my family ,such a wonderful time there.people were very friendly and talkative.Bar staff were brilliant.I have no idea who the tenants were ,it seemed to run itself.will go back especially for the Guinness. X
Great little pub full of friendly locals, if you fancy a good drink and wanna put the world to rights this is the place.
