About This Pub
Ah, The Three Johns – it's one of those places that just feels right when you're out for a pint or a bite in London. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the drinks are always a highlight, with options that keep things interesting without overwhelming you, and the pizzas are an absolute treat; they're huge, packed with flavour, and make for a fantastic shareable feast. The staff really stand out too – they're chatty and attentive, turning a simple visit into something more memorable, whether you're there for a quick after-work session or lounging outside on a nice day. On the flip side, it seems the beer choices have slimmed down a bit since before, which might disappoint if you're a real ale enthusiast, and the website's a bit of a mess, so you might need to pop in directly to get the full picture. All in all, it's a solid spot that does the basics brilliantly, with that easy-going atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another round, but keep an eye on those little niggles to manage your expectations.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The drinks are spot on, with a solid selection that hits the mark for a good pint or cocktail after a long day.
-
Their pizzas are massive and delicious – perfect for sharing with mates, making it a brilliant spot for a casual meal.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, adding a real warmth to the atmosphere.
-
It's got a great vibe, whether you're popping in for an after-work drink or relaxing on the outside benches on a sunny day.
-
Prices are reasonable for London, so you won't feel like you're breaking the bank for a quality night out.
Cons
-
The beer selection isn't quite what it used to be, from what some have mentioned, so it might not satisfy those after something really extensive.
-
The website seems a bit glitchy and hard to navigate, which could make it tricky if you're trying to check details online before heading over.
-
Operating hours can look a tad confusing with varying times listed, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.

Great drinks and even better pizza. Fun and friendly staff that go above and beyond. Perfect place for after work pints or spending a sunny Saturday on the outside benches watching the world go by!
My life partner and I had a lovely time here. The Franco pizza was excellent, and we had wonderful service from the svelte Irish lass on the bar. A great spot for food and drinks in Angel—I'd give it Five Johns if I could...haha! :'-)
the interior of the pub is stunning!! love the bar design the most :) i ordered a pizza and it was HUGE - definitely for 2-3 people to share!! my friend and i ordered lots of drinks - espresso martini, rum, and cocktails were great 👍🏻 the staff who served my table were incredibly friendly!! and they gave me good recommendations for the alcoholic cocktails 😊 this pub is indeed a great spot for social gatherings!!
Staying around the corner for a 3 day break in the city, this was immediately our local. Plenty of bars around here but this was our favourite by a long way. Not too up it's self. Good beer selection, though not quite as good as when I was here pre covid. Plenty of atmosphere. Nice mix of customers. Really good pizza, in a world where most pizza is just ok. Great building
Pints not too badly priced for London. Didn't see 3 Johns, I think only 1 was called John. Pizza was massive and delicious
