About This Pub
Oh, The Temple, it's one of those places that just sticks in your mind, isn't it? Tucked away underground in the heart of Manchester, it's got this brilliant, unpretentious feel that makes you feel right at home from the moment you step in. I love how the jukebox pumps out all sorts of classic tracks – it's like the soundtrack to a perfect evening, really adding to that rock dive bar charm. The drinks are spot on too; a good pint of Guinness goes down a treat, and it's just the sort of spot for chatting away with mates without any fuss. On the downside, it can be a bit of a challenge to locate if you're not familiar with the area, and with doors not opening until 3 PM, it's more geared towards evenings rather than a quick daytime stop. Still, it's got that welcoming buzz with a solid 4.4 rating from folks who've clearly had a great time, so if you're after a hidden gem with personality, it's well worth seeking out – just plan ahead and you'll have a cracking visit!

Cool bar always wanted to go used to be a old toilet
Proper rock dive bar, good pint of Guinness and the barman gave me free plays on the excellent jukebox. There's nothing not to like
Nice little bar tucked underground with a jukebox that contributes massively to the atmosphere.
Do you want a little secret spot that sells great beer and plays classic good pub music? But it’s not a secret and you can just wander in? Here it is.
Favourite little Manchester sit when I’m staying in central
Stumbled upon this wee hidden gem as we were walking towards Chinatown. The underground bar is cosy and pretty hidden unless you know what you’re looking for, we sat down originally for one but with the fantastic selection of albums in the jukebox, we ended staying the rest of the night. Love the music which in turn gives it a really good atmosphere and reminds me of many underground or back alley bars in the many alleyways in Tokyo. Love this place.
