About This Pub
Ah, Oxford Road Tap – what a gem this place is, tucked away near Manchester station. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's a real winner for anyone who appreciates a quality pint. The beers are fresh, perfectly poured, and there's a fantastic variety, especially if you're into those cask ales and special brews like the ones from Marble brewery. I love how it's got that laid-back feel with some funky tunes playing, making it easy to unwind after a hectic day or while waiting for your next train. The staff are genuinely friendly and know their beers inside out, which always makes for a more enjoyable visit. On the flip side, though, some of the prices might raise an eyebrow – that £6 for a smaller bottle feels a bit pricey when you're trying to keep things affordable. Plus, with just a handful of cask options, it might not satisfy if you're after a massive selection. Still, overall, it's a must-visit if you're in the area; the high ratings speak for themselves, and it's clear folks are coming back for the atmosphere and service. If you're a pub goer like me, I'd say give it a go – it's got that perfect balance of good vibes and great drinks, even with a few minor niggles.

Just popped in. 20mins wait for a change of train to kill time. Had pulled ale, perfect temperature and fresh. Amazing selection of beers, funk and soul on the playlist and a nice chilled atmosphere. A pukka pint and a 'must visit' for ale lovers. Top man behind the bar. I'll be stopping in next time I'm through this way. Thanks man
Brilliant location, big enough to entertain and rehydrate small groups before getting your next train.
Rotating selection on cask is great, good selection in the fridge also.
Has a live screen with train travel updates too.
I was out and about with Flicarus when he told me about this new bar that opened at the back end of 2024. The third Tap bar to compliment Piccadilly and Victoria. A great real ale addition
£4.90 for a 4.8% special bitter from Marble brewery. One of four real ales. £6 for a 0.33l Fruili..a bit steep. Friendly staff. Live train info so you can drink until 2- 3 mins from departure.
A great addition to the beer scene particularly if your 🚂 is delayed. Just 4 cask ales on sale plus numerous keg lines. Top class friendly service. Well worth checking out.
Absolute Gem of a place. Solid beer line up cask and keg. Best spot near the station for a quality pint!!
