About This Pub
Ah, The Tavern – it's one of those reliable local haunts in Scunthorpe that just hits the spot for a laid-back evening. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, they've got a smashing selection of beers at prices that won't sting your wallet, and there are always those tempting offers on drinks that make it easy to settle in for the night. The atmosphere really shines with live sports playing on the screens and the odd live music event popping up, which keeps things lively without being overwhelming. Plus, with pool and darts on offer, and being pet-friendly to boot, it's a fun spot to unwind with mates or even bring the dog along for the ride. On the downside, though, it does seem a tad less bustling these days compared to its heyday, so you might find it a bit subdued on quieter evenings, and the hours wrap up pretty early most nights. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a friendly, no-fuss pub experience – I'd say give it a go for a pint and see if it becomes your new favourite local.

Good range of beers at a reasonable price
Always great place to go. Lots of atmosphere
I have a soft spot for the Tavern, I worked there when I was in my very early 20s. Like many pubs now, it's not as busy as it once was, but It still demands its fair share of customers, has a great atmosphere, and is rarely empty. The pub is friendly and clean.
A good classic pub! Nice atmosphere. Pool Table and Darts Board and some classic 80s music make for a exciting night in this local!
Place has a great vibe.
I particularly enjoy the winner stays in pool tournament which seems to happen every time I go.
The pub is safe with a high presence of security who do a fantastic job all the time.
Bar staff are great too.
