About This Pub
Ah, The Talbot – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Scunthorpe, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this lovely old-school charm that makes you want to settle in for a chat over a pint. The staff stand out as absolute stars; they're friendly, chatty, and really add to the homely feel, whether you're there for a quick drink in the sun or one of their event nights. There's a good selection of drinks, and it's brilliant for a bit of fun with pool, darts, and even a jukebox to get the tunes going. Plus, being open seven days a week from noon till 11 makes it super convenient for a spontaneous meet-up. On the flip side, it's a shame they don't do any food, so if you're peckish, you might have to plan ahead or grab something nearby. And parking can be a bit of a hassle, but honestly, that's a small price for such a welcoming spot. Overall, if you're after a genuine, no-fuss pub experience, I'd say give it a go – it's got that heartwarming touch that makes you want to come back.

A charming old fashioned pub for a drink and a chat with friendly regulars. John and Jay are always pleasant and good for a laugh. If you want a refreshing pint in the sun or an evening of celebration at one of their event nights I would recommend it anytime.
