About This Pub

Ah, The Swan with Two Necks – what a gem tucked away in Bristol! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its incredible selection of beers and ciders; it's like they've got something for every taste, and it's all at prices that won't leave you rummaging for change. The atmosphere is just delightful – think quirky decor and that old-school charm with vinyl spinning in the background, making it feel like a proper cosy spot to chat and relax. The staff come across as genuinely friendly, which always makes a big difference when you're settling in for a pint. On the flip side, though, it's not all perfect; a couple of folks mentioned the pickled eggs as a bit of a letdown, so maybe skip those if you're not adventurous with your snacks. And while it's open late most nights, do check the days, as it might catch you out if you're hoping for a Sunday session. Overall, it's got that winning mix of affordable fun and character that makes it a go-to for anyone looking for a good time without the fuss – I'd say give it a try if you're in the area!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer selection is absolutely brilliant – a fantastic range of real ales, craft beers, and ciders that keeps things fresh and exciting.
  • It's got that charming, quirky interior with a real old-school vibe, complete with vinyl music playing, which makes it feel like a cosy hideaway.
  • Prices are spot on for a good night out; everything's inexpensive, so you can enjoy a few pints without breaking the bank.
  • The staff are super friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere that makes you want to linger.
  • It's open late, which is perfect if you're after a relaxed spot to unwind well into the evening.
Cons
  • Some of the quirky food options, like those pickled eggs, might not be to everyone's taste – one person found them a bit off-putting.
  • The interior's described as bizarre by a few, so if you're after something more straightforward, it might feel a tad overwhelming at first.
  • With only six days a week open, you might miss out if you're planning a visit on that closed day, which seems to be Sundays based on the schedule.

What a corker of a pub. Great selection of beers and ciders of cask and keg. Amazing little vibe going with nice tables and chairs. Beautiful little dog serving behind the bar and friendly staff. Also an amazing selection of pickled eggs that my company enjoyed.

A favourite Bristol pub. Huge range of real ales and craft beers that is always changing. Cool decor, friendly service and very reasonable prices. First time I’ve had a pickled egg. Horrible!
