About This Pub

Oh, you know, I absolutely love popping into The Swan Inn; it's got that quintessential British pub charm that's hard to beat these days. The real ales are spot on – they've got a cracking selection that keeps things interesting, and it's always a treat to try something new from their pumps. The staff are just brilliant, always greeting you with a smile and making you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time. Settle in by the log fire on a cool evening, and you've got yourself a proper cosy spot for catching up with mates over a pint. The snacks, like those delicious cobs and pork pies, are simple but spot-on for a light bite. Plus, with the garden and outdoor area, it's great for sunnier days. On the flip side, if you're hoping for a full meal, it's a bit limited to basics, and families might find the 7pm cutoff for children a tad inconvenient. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone after an authentic pub experience – honest, welcoming, and full of character, without trying to be something it's not.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic selection of real ales and ciders, with a good mix of their own brews and guest options
  • Super friendly and efficient staff who make you feel right at home and remember your face on return visits
  • Lovely traditional atmosphere with a cosy log fire, perfect for a relaxing evening
  • Tasty bar snacks like well-filled cobs and pork pies that hit the spot without being too fancy
  • Plenty of facilities including a garden, outdoor area, car park, and even accommodation for overnight stays
Cons
  • Food options are quite basic, mostly limited to snacks rather than full meals, so it might not satisfy if you're after something more substantial
  • Children are only welcome until 7pm, which could be a bit restrictive for families wanting a longer outing
  • It can get busy at times, meaning service is speedy but you might not linger as leisurely as you'd like

A brilliant well run Black Country Ales Pub. This is a great example of how the smaller pub should be ran. It has a choice of cobs, pies as well as crisps. Cobs are excellent well filled of cheese and onion, ham salad cheese and ham as well as cheese salad sauces ae available too. Coffee is available. There are always a great choice of Ales available and you can expect upto 11 Ales on tap. Including at least 3 Black Country Ales and upto 9 guest ales. There are usually 5 Ciders on tap too ranging from 4% to in excess of 7.5%. Guinness and Lagers as well as your usual spirits etc available. Air con inside and a large garden out the back. With a separate smoking area. Darts board as well as Sky Sports showing. Plenty of places to sit. Super friendly staff as well as locals. Rich is very happy to bring your drinks over once ordered and they have settled a really great touch and a top bloke too. An absolutely brilliant place to visit everything a great local pub should be. Come and visit for yourself and enjoy everything it has to offer.
