The Swan in Saint Albans

You know, when I popped into The Swan, it just had this lovely, cosy feel that really captures what a proper UK pub is all about – all that character and warmth makes it an absolute gem in the area. The food's a real highlight; they've got everything from pizzas you can grab all day to those satisfying Sunday roasts, and it's all cooked fresh, which is brilliant for a casual bite or something more substantial. The staff are dead friendly too, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which adds to the relaxed vibe. On the flip side, while the grub tastes spot on, the way it's arranged on the plate can sometimes look a tad messy, like it's been thrown together in a rush – not a deal-breaker, but it'd be nicer if it was a bit more polished. All in all, it's a cracking place for a pint with mates or a family meal, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the mood for something straightforward and enjoyable.
