About This Pub
Ah, The Sun Public House – it's one of those classic spots that really grows on you once you pop in. I reckon it's a solid choice if you're after an affordable pint without breaking the bank; those prices make it perfect for a relaxed evening with mates. The staff are an absolute highlight – they're quick, chatty, and make everyone feel welcome, which adds to that warm, community feel. Plus, with the big screens for footy and a spacious setup including a nice garden, it's great for watching the game or just catching up outdoors when the sun's out. On the flip side, though, the decor could use a bit of TLC; it does feel a tad worn and might give off a slightly dated vibe that not everyone's keen on. One person even mentioned it feeling a bit scary, which I suppose depends on your taste, but it's worth noting if you're after something more modern. All in all, it's a dependable local with plenty of charm, especially if you're in Romford for a low-key night, but it might not wow you if you're expecting bells and whistles. I'd say give it a go – you might just end up making it your regular haunt!

Cheap and scary pub, only scary because I find lots of things scary, I wasn't sure what to think about the £3.80 pints, unsettled?
The title of my autobiography is going to be "Tight and Scared".
Only popped in for a couple of drinks before going for a meal.
Large spacious pub with screens showing the football. It’s a shame because it felt to me that the pub had passed its better days. Slightly dated decor, and tiered looking. That said, the customers and bar person were friendly and polite. Lacking atmosphere though.
Great place for family to go and eat and friends to meet up before they hit Romford club scene
Tracy the Landlady is so much fun, she knows ALL the customers, and will chat away with us all, whilst putting stock away, and doing the drinks...
I like the Sun Pub, (I think it will draw even more people in, once she starts selling hot food, and I for one will be definitely tasting the food.
I've met quite a lot of new friends, and they've welcomed me into their Pub "gang", Everyone leaves with a smile.
Lovely big pub. Bar staff quick and friendly, very efficient. It was a Friday night and there was music on, courtesy of DJs, good mixture of sounds catering for all ages. Large back garden. Not my normal haunt but a place I always go back to. Well worth a visit.
