About This Pub
Ah, The Sun Inn – it's one of those classic spots in Scarborough that really knows how to make you feel welcome, isn't it? From the reviews I've had a look at, the staff stand out as absolute gems, always cheerful and on hand to sort you out quickly, even when the place is buzzing. Whether you're popping in for a quiet midweek pint or getting stuck into the footy on one of their screens, or even belting out a tune at the karaoke, the atmosphere is just spot on – lively but never overwhelming. And it's all kept so tidy, which is a nice touch you don't always get. On the downside, though, it's a shame about the parking situation with the local council cracking down on motorhomes and such; a few folks have shared that it's put them off visiting altogether, which means you might have to plan ahead if you're driving in. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out if you're after that community feel, but do keep those access issues in mind to avoid any frustrations.

Me and my wife used to love this pub, unable to visit now due to the council banning motorhomes on Albert drive and other local car parks, it seems Scarborough council would rather chase the motorhome trade away, we now spent our money over Blackpool council much more welcoming.
What a lovely place so welcoming nothing was to much trouble for the staff the dogs loved it coverage of the sport second to none decor spotless toilets spotless space for total comfort we shall see you in a few weeks time and thank you enjoy your golf. Enjoy Poland
Great place for a relaxed pint through the week. Gets busy on a weekend after 10pm but great atmosphere.
As we were walking up and down Scarborough, I mean up as we were coming up from the beach, it was a timely stop for us oldies to rest me little legs.. it was a good call, football was on and you could watch it on one if their 8 🖥 , beer was good bar staff friendly and off we popped.
Came in here around midnight on a Saturday night. Was very busy and about 3 deep at the bar, but I managed to get served quickly. A good mixed crowd but more of the younger generation, which is normal.
Surprisingly, they had a late night karaoke on with a fair few people singing and to give them there dues, I have seen much much worst.
Doorman are hot on kicking people out that do drugs which is a bonus and nice to see.
Edit: There was a fight in the street later but not sure which bar (this one or across the road) they came from.
