About This Pub
You know, I had a wander into the Conservatory Coffee Shop the other day, and it's just one of those places that feels like a proper local gem in Scarborough. The breakfasts are spot on – really filling and full of that good, honest Yorkshire fare that sets you up nicely for the day, all at prices that won't break the bank. I loved how the staff were so welcoming, even when they were rushed off their feet; it's that kind of service that makes you want to come back. Plus, with plenty of seating and those big windows, it's ideal for a relaxed sit-down and a spot of people-watching. On the flip side, though, I have to mention it wasn't all perfect – some tables hadn't been cleaned properly from the last lot, and the cushions on the seats had a few stains that took away from the cosy vibe a bit. Still, weighing it all up, it's a solid choice if you're after good value and tasty food, and I'd definitely pop in again for another go at those cakes.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely delicious – think hearty breakfasts, amazing cakes, and generous portions that leave you feeling well satisfied.
-
Prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a brilliant spot for a budget-friendly meal without skimping on quality.
-
The staff are so friendly and welcoming; they make you feel right at home, even when the place is buzzing.
-
There's plenty of seating and those large windows are perfect for a bit of people-watching while you enjoy your cuppa.
-
Portion sizes are spot on, and little touches like extra hot water for tea show they really think about the details.
Cons
-
Some tables aren't wiped down between customers, which can leave a bit of a mess from previous diners.
-
The cushions on the seats can be grubby with stains, which isn't the most appealing when you're settling in for a meal.

Have been holidaying in Yorkshire for 15 years. I go to this cafe almost every year and it is the one place I always aim to go back to. Used to be a young teenager coming here and now my visit in a couple of weeks will be with my wife and 2 young children. Hope there's enough room for a stroller lol. Fantastic. Very nostalgic to me. Can't wait to eat there again

I hope the pictures of our food show how excellent it was, tons of tuna mayo and thick bread, the best lemon cake I've tasted in ages xxx
Brilliant little cafe. Ate here almost every day of my holiday. Staff friendly and extremely cheap for the amount of food you get. Delicious 😋
Absolutely love this place, when visiting Scarborough I always visit here.
Has the most amazing cakes and custurd.
On this occasion we went for breakfast and it tasted fantastic.
They where rushed of their feet but still made you feel very welcome and certainly didn't rush you.
Been coming here for a long while. But as I've been away for a couple of years I had to have a good breakfast before leaving. Very well worth the money. Special breakfast sets you up for the day. The staff are great. The place has plenty of seating. Well worth a visit if you're near.
