About This Pub
You know, I had a lovely time at The Stag's Head the other day, and it's one of those places that just feels like a proper East London gem. It's been around since 1856, so there's this wonderful historic feel with stunning brick fireplaces and cosy rooms that make you want to settle in for the evening. The beer garden is an absolute delight, especially on a sunny afternoon, and they've got cracking events like live music and quizzes that keep things buzzing without being overwhelming. The Sunday roast and beers get high marks from what I've heard, and the staff are dead welcoming, always up for a chat. That said, it does fill up quickly on busier nights, so you might end up queuing for a table, and the prices can add up if you're not careful. All in all, it's a solid spot for catching up with mates – just go with an open mind and you'll have a brilliant time.

-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and great recommendations.
-
The Sunday roast and selection of beers are spot on – tasty, well-priced for the area, and a real treat after a long week.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially on weekends or during events, which might make it hard to find a seat.
-
Prices are a bit on the steeper side for a casual pint, as you'd expect in that part of London.
-
The operating hours vary by day, so it's worth checking in advance to avoid any surprises if you're planning a visit.

Great local bar with a hidden but decent sized beer garden out back. Food menu looked good but we did not try any of the food so can’t comment on that.
Great modern pub in a beautiful old pub. Makes no sense I know. Go and have a look.
Epic boozer. Super chill. Great atmosphere. Love the woodwork and the different rooms. The live music room looks great - super intimate. Will have to come back for that. Good ale. Comfy chairs. It’s perfect.
Just popped in for a drink, passed this place many times, however didn't realised they have back garden and serve food.Very friendly service ,food was tasty and presented immaculately. Reasonably priced for that part of London.
This must be one of my favourite random discoveries in London.
Went here for some food on a Sunday, the lady at the bar was super nice and friendly, the pub is an old one with classic old school charm and they have this lovely and chill beer garden.
We stayed in the garden and enjoyed a cold pint. I had the baby chicken Sunday roast and my friend had the vegan pizza.
We were both happy with the food and they have big portions so you won’t leave hungry for sure!
Cute story - this is the bar where part of Baby Rain-deer was filmed. Check the front of the pub for a visual reminder (the moment when the guy goes to work and opens the pub’s doors).
I would highly recommend this place if you want a chill time 🦌🍻🥩🍕
