About This Pub
Ah, The Talbot – it's one of those classic London pubs that really hits the spot for a proper Sunday roast. From the reviews I've seen, the food is spot on; think tender beef, massive Yorkshires, and veggies that are cooked just right – it's no wonder it's become a favourite for many. The staff seem genuinely friendly, adding a nice warm touch that makes you feel at ease. With a solid 4.3 rating overall, it's clear this place knows how to deliver on the good stuff. But, let's be honest, it's not without its flaws. A few folks have mentioned waiting ages for their orders, which can put a damper on things, especially if you're peckish. Then there's the odd service charge that crops up unexpectedly, and some prices feel a tad over the top – like splashing out £6 on a soft drink! Still, if you're up for a hearty meal and don't mind planning ahead, it's worth popping in. All in all, it's a gem with a few rough edges, so go with an open mind and you'll likely have a great time.

Really lovely pub and food is really good. One of our favorite Sunday roasts! We don’t live in the area anymore but we go sometimes just because the Sunday roast is great
Nice Sunday roast though gravy was watery.
Service charge was added to the bill even though we ordered & paid at the bar due to slow service...not sure what the charge was for.
Diet coke from the gun was also £6 lol, license to print money.
Really lovely Sunday roast! Generous serving of gravy and beef with huge yorkies and tender veggies. Staff are all really friendly too. Highly recommend!
ive never waited so long for a drink or food and apparently asking how long your food will be after an hour is rude and as the staff member told me, “you just have to wait”. The standards of service, even in a pub is sad tbh, you'd used to get told if there was over a half hour wait for food.
my food came cold and raw, the potatoes are raw. Im appalled as a londoner we asked for well done so….
So chuffed with the beef Sunday roast! We booked in advance (as recommended by staff) because tables are filled very quickly. The beef was tender and all of the trimmings cooked to perfection, with perfect seasoning. So far the roast potatoes are the best I've had, crispy on the outside, buttery inside. The gravy was thick and flavoursome. Service was good, the staff were fast and attentive. Would highly recommend!
