About This Pub
Ah, The Stag at Offchurch – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a relaxed get-together with mates. From what I've gathered, the food is where it really shines; those Sunday lunches are proper winners with juicy roasts, spot-on veggies, and portions that'll leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. The staff go above and beyond, always cheerful and on hand to sort you out, which makes the whole experience feel warm and inviting. Plus, the decor's charming, and that big garden is ideal for soaking up the sunshine with a cold one. On the flip side, it's a tad annoying that extras like Yorkshire pudding come at an additional cost, and the desserts are a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the menu – nothing disastrous, but they don't quite match the high standards set earlier. All in all, it's a solid choice for pub goers looking for good grub and a welcoming atmosphere, though you might want to plan around those little niggles to get the best out of your visit.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on, especially those Sunday roasts with generous portions and perfectly cooked meats – it's a real treat for a hearty meal.
-
The staff are so welcoming and attentive, always serving with a smile and making sure you're well looked after, which really adds to the cosy vibe.
-
It's got a lovely warm atmosphere with nice decor inside and a spacious garden out the back, perfect for enjoying a pint on a sunny day.
-
Service is quick and efficient, and booking a table is straightforward, making it easy to pop in without any fuss.
Cons
-
You might have to pay extra for little things like Yorkshire pudding, which can feel a bit cheeky when you're already splashing out.
-
The desserts don't quite live up to the main courses – they're alright, but not as impressive, so you might want to skip them.

Fantastic Fathers day Sunday lunch. Warm atmosphere. Great service from all the staff, who were very accommodating. Everyone served us with a smile and made sure my family and I were looked after. The roasts were delicious and generous portions. My only gripe is that you need to pay extra for a Yorkshire pudding as it doesn't come standard as part of the roast, which I feel it should. Overall an enjoyable meal and will definitely be back again soon!
Great experience. Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, gorgeous roast potatoes, option for pink or well done beef/lamb, lovely seasonal vegetable accompaniment, plenty of gravy. Quality reflects the price point. Only point for improvement would be the desserts which we felt weren’t quite as delicious as the main, still moreish though. We previously would visit when it was under past management & now pleased to discover the new management have not dropped the standard of food. Shall be returning with more family/friends.
Absolutely Superb! The team at the Stag hosted our wedding reception and provided the absolute best service and food we could have hoped for. We had 24 guests and we were all seated in the conservatory area. The staff were amazing but the food stole the show. Almost every single guest has approached me to tell me how impressed they were. We had 3 courses and all the food was served to everyone together and it was all hot and fresh. The pub had loads of staff on to help accommodate our party and they were all amazing. One of our guests even bought them all a drink at the end of the night to thank them! Beware the baked Camembert starter, it’s superb but big enough for 2 to share. The steak was easily one of the best I have ever had and all the puddings were or looked delicious and were all generous portions. I think Richard is new to managing the pub and he deserves such high praise. He was brilliant making sure we had everything and everything went to plan and on time. Karen who works in the office was brilliant keeping in touch with me in the weeks up to the event making sure we had everything we needed. The wine was superb, we had about 14 bottles between our party and the primitivo I drank was just perfect. We had a buffet for an extra 20 guests at 8pm in the evening and again it was just superb. We took over the conservatory area for the whole afternoon and evening and the whole event was a solid 10 out of 10. My new. Wife and I want to pass on our heartfelt thanks to the whole team at the stag for making our special day so perfect. Thanks from David and Tina xx
A lovely Sunday roast in a local pub. Nice decor inside and a big garden out the back. Staff were cheerful and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything. We were 8 people (4A/4Ch) and we all enjoyed our meals.
Took a trip to here on a late Saturday afternoon on a Bank Holiday weekend, easily booked a table inside or outside within an hour before attending, staff were attentive and quick with service. Food was very quick to arrive and to incredibly high quality, the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and all food was warm! The dessert was much bigger than expected, and very nice! A quiet little spot that I just found by random, can't wait to return soon!!
