About This Pub
Ah, The Shady Oak in Bramhall – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its warm, family-like feel and a solid 4.2 rating from folks who've been there. I reckon it's a top spot for a relaxed afternoon or a fun weekend sesh, with delicious grub like their steak menus that always hit the mark, and the staff are mostly brilliant, chipping in with that friendly chat. You've got games like pool and darts to keep things entertaining, and the weekends with DJ tunes sound like a blast for a good laugh with mates. Prices are gentle on the wallet too, which is always a win. But, just to keep it real, there have been a couple of grumbles about the odd rude employee or a disruptive punter causing a scene, so it might not be perfect every time. Overall, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in Stockport – go for the vibes and the food, and hopefully, you'll have a cracking time without any hitches.

Perfect meal as always Friday 18th of April. Despite seeing a male in the ladies toilets and then an incident with the same male customer being rude and aggressive to staff. Lovely pub and atmosphere. Highly recommend :)
After an hour and a half of chatting in the children’s play area with our parents and ordering two pints of beer, a male employee rudely asked us to leave the area if we had finished our drinks. I asked the manager—or, as she claimed, the establishment's owner—why this tall young man had asked us to leave in such a manner. She replied, “Because you have to leave since you haven’t ordered more drinks or food.”
Even my daughter still wanted to continue playing, but we had to leave that place then she started crying!
I was extremely dissatisfied with the service at this rude establishment and would never recommend this place or its staff to anyone.
She (the owner) shouldn’t be anywhere near hospitality….
Really enjoyed working here .
Really nice and hard working staff and the food is great too. All of the regulars in this pub are friendly and a good laugh. Its like a little family. Check it out on the weekend for some good dj tunes and a good laugh. Highly reccomend.
