First time I have been in for a long time after recently moving back to the area and what a turnaround from previous owners of the pub. Very friendly atmosphere, fabulous service and the food is lii lovely and at a competitive price…… Well worth a visit, and I’m told by my mums that quiz night is a lot of fun!
2 hungry Sunday diners searching for a plentyful and delicious Sunday dinner were certainly not dissapointed! We received a warm welcome from attentive staff on arrival, it was very busy at prime time on Sunday we were advised it could be up to an hour wait for a table, we grabbed a drink from the bar and were shown to our seats within 25 minutes. The carvery queue was short and there was every meat and veg you could ask for. We filled our plates and tucked in tackling what must be Stockport's biggest Yorkshire puddings! Despite how busy it was we didn't feel under pressure to leave after eating, the attentive staff brought us another drink and they certainly deserved the optional service charge that was on the bill. The pub has a really nice atmosphere and feel to it, it's clearly well run and will look forward to returning soon.
