Ah, The Sedge Lynn – it's one of those trusty Wetherspoon pubs that always delivers when you're after a straightforward, budget-friendly outing. From what I've gathered from folks who've popped in, the drinks are spot on, with a solid range of beers that are cold and inexpensive, and the food hits the mark too, like those delicious wings with a choice of dips or a hearty all-day breakfast deal. The building itself is a real gem, originally a billiards hall from way back, giving it that extra bit of character and making it a pleasant place to settle in for a chat. The staff are dead helpful and keep things running smoothly, even when it picks up. On the downside, it does get packed to the gills on busy nights or during match days, so you might end up queueing or struggling for space, and honestly, some parts look like they could use a bit of TLC to keep the charm alive. All in all, it's a top pick if you're looking for good value and a relaxed vibe, but just keep an eye on the timing to avoid the rush – it's got that classic Spoons appeal with a few quirks that make it feel genuine.

Great pub to visit with good collection of drinks and food
Decent Wetherspoons with the usual mix of cheap drinks, pub classics, and quick service. The old billiard hall interior is spacious and has character, though parts of it feel tired and in need of a refresh. Gets busy in the evenings and on match days, but staff manage it well. Good for a budget pint or casual meal, but not somewhere you’d go for atmosphere or comfort. Handy location near the tram stop.
Great selection of beer, good enough food for a pub, a nice, pleasant and safe pub with no drama or fights.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the beer is cold and inexpensive.
Probably my favourite spoons.
Weatherspoons is everyone's favourite isn't it? But this location is eye catchy. The building itself is so beautiful with a seating area outside. We tried a couple of cocktails this time and some wings with chips. The wings were delicious and came with a choice of dip. The staff were very friendly. JD is a vibe I would say.
This is my new favourite wetherspoons. The building was created by the Temperance Movement as an alcohol free billiards hall in c1907. It's a beautiful building and lovely space to have a bite or drink and very cheap too! When I visited I had the all day breakfast deal. Two eggs, two sausages, two bacon, beans and chips. The deal included an alcoholic drink for £5.99! It was well worth the money
