About This Pub
Ah, The Rusty Saddle – it's one of those places in Belfast that just feels like a proper go-to for a good meal and a chat. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really go the extra mile; they're friendly as can be and handle any little issues with ease, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. The food? Well, it's a winner – think hearty portions of tasty grub like perfectly cooked steaks and massive servings that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. It's got that lively atmosphere too, especially on nights like St Paddy's, where everything just clicks. On the flip side, there was a mention of a small table mix-up in one review, and with the overall rating sitting at 4.2, it suggests there might be the occasional slip-up or busier times when things aren't quite as smooth. Plus, being unclaimed online means feedback might not get the immediate attention it deserves. All in all, if you're after a solid spot for a bite and a drink in the city centre, I'd say give it a try – it's got that charm that keeps people coming back, but just keep in mind it might be worth booking ahead to avoid any potential hitches.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, patient, and always ready to sort things out, like when someone wanted to swap tables and they handled it with a smile.
-
The food is spot on; think tasty dishes with generous portions, like perfectly cooked steaks and the best Guinness you've had all day – it's all about that great value for your money.
-
It's got a really welcoming atmosphere, especially during events like St Paddy's, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed evening out.
-

-
Being right in the heart of Belfast city centre, it's super convenient and easy to get to.
Cons
-
One of the reviews mentioned a minor hiccup with table preferences, which could be a bit of a faff if the place is busy, though they sorted it out nicely.
-
With an overall rating of 4.2, there might be the odd off day or inconsistency in experiences, even if the recent ones have been glowing.
-
It's unclaimed on Google, so you might not see as many direct responses to feedback, which could mean things don't get addressed as quickly as they could.

Went there for an early evening meal. Staff very friendly and patient with us, ad one of our group decided she didn't like the table we had booked and wanted to swap. Food was very tasty and was served in a timely manner. Altogether great value for money.
Amazing place food was tremendous and huge portions best Guinness i tasted all day.
Visited on St paddys. The food was lovely. Service outstanding and a good friendly atmosphere
My Dad and I had a beautiful meal in The Rusty Saddle last night prior to a show in the Grand Opera House.
We both ordered the 10oz Steak, chips, pepper sauce, mushrooms, and tomato. We ordered ours cooked medium and it was absolutely perfectly cooked. We received very good, friendly service too and as I was driving, it was nice to see they had a few zero percent beers for me to choose from too!!
Very nice restaurant in Belfast, nice decorated. After seeing the menu. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. The dishes were generous and very tasty. Nice atmosphere and good prices. The service was very good and fast. Definitely recommended.
