Popped in for a quick drink on a weekend break. Friendly, busy pub with a good atmosphere, interesting beer mat art adorns the walls.

A gorgeous pub serving Pieminster Pies and good pub snacks bursting with people on a Saturday night, filled with character and good vibes. We had a packed downstairs room for a private party which was clean, cozy and well-staffed. Spacious and attractive smoking area and lovely people behind the bar, what more could you want 👍

Love the Rumsey but thought today's rudeness couldn't go unmentioned. Wife and I needed to discuss end of life care for a friend so took our seat and saw the big signs on the table saying "order here" in bold, so we did. Drinks and pie. When the barman brought our drinks he said "you didn't fancy the walk to the bar then?" In an off tone. "Well, the menu seemed to imply we should order on the app". "I hate those things, we're not wetherspoons". Fine. Thanks for your opinion and for throwing the cutlery down with the face of gloom on you. Really not our fault the pub wants to use an app. Would have happily ordered at the bar. Disappointing attitude which made a difficult day harder. Appreciate he may be having a hard day too but I guarantee it wasn't as hard as ours. Food server was delightful and the pies were amazing.

Only three Adnams ales on unfortunately, which is a shame in such a beautiful pub with a nice busy atmosphere and plenty of people inside. Would be nice to make the most of the pumps and have some guest ales or seasonal brews. Friendly staff and nice decor. Lots of Pieminister pies available (yum!) and a good Diet Coke, too 😄

We've always enjoyed a beer and sometimes food here after a busy shop in the city and on the way to St Andrews car park. A welcome relaxed break. Now we can say we've also enjoyed a fabulous party downstairs too in the cellar 🎉🥳🎈🎂👌
