About This Pub

Ah, The Drawing Rooms in Norwich is such a charming spot for a night out – it's got this fabulous Art Deco feel that really transports you back to a bygone era, and the cocktails are an absolute highlight with their great variety and reasonable prices. I love how the staff are so welcoming and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do; it's clear they put heart into making your visit memorable. Plus, the location's spot-on for sitting back and watching the hustle and bustle of the city. On the flip side, though, the music can crank up a bit too much, turning what could be a lovely catch-up into a shouting match, and if you're after vegan choices, you'll have to quiz them as it's not obvious from the menu. All in all, it's a cracking place for a fun, energetic evening, especially if you're up for some pre-drinks, but it might not be ideal for a quiet pint with mates.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in
  • They've got a fantastic selection of cocktails that are well-priced and varied, perfect for trying something new
  • The Art Deco-inspired decor is just fabulous, creating a vibrant and stylish atmosphere that's a real treat
  • It's in a prime spot for people-watching in the heart of Norwich, especially if you snag a seat outside
  • The facilities are spot-on, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms that add to the overall experience
Cons
  • The music can be far too loud at times, making it tough to have a proper chat and enjoy the company
  • Vegan options aren't clearly marked on the menu, which might leave some folks a bit confused or disappointed
  • It seems more geared towards a younger crowd or as a pre-drinks spot, so it might not suit everyone for a relaxed evening

Sitting outside on the junction of several Lanes, this is one of the stand-out places to observe the denizens of Norwich. The drinks are varied and well priced, the staff are all really friendly. It's a great place.

Lovely environment, but I think I'd be surprised if the staff aren't all permanently deaf. The music was too loud. It's mainly seating areas inside so we wanted to have some nice cocktails and have a chat, but ended up with sore throats from shouting at eachother. I don't understand why they'd have seating in there if you can't sit and talk to eachother

Amazing drinks and wonderful atmosphere. Staff are always very friendly. My only suggestion is that vegan drinks could be marked on the menu for clarity but otherwise brilliant !!

Nice pub, definitely aimed at a younger generation as somewhere to predrink before going out out but a really nice atmosphere and well decorated. Bathrooms were lovely and clean.

What a find, we only visited for coffee but am looking forward to trying the cocktails. The bar tender was passionate about the creations he has for the future. The decor is a fab mix of eccentricity and prohibition style. Well worth a visit
