About This Pub

Ah, The Royal Bridlington – it's one of those places that really grows on you once you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews and details, it's got that warm, welcoming feel where the staff, like the ever-attentive Tim, go out of their way to make sure you're sorted, whether it's a fresh brew or helping with your stay. The location's an absolute winner, just a stone's throw from the South Beach, so you can nip out for a seaside walk and come back for a cracking breakfast that's tailored just for you – think excellent cooked options that hit the spot every time. It's got some lovely touches too, like clean rooms with sea views and little extras that make you feel right at home. But let's be honest, it's not all roses; the rooms do show their age a bit, which might not thrill you if you're hoping for something more up-to-date, and evening dining is mostly for groups, so if you're fancying a spontaneous meal, you might end up heading elsewhere. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed getaway in Bridlington, especially if you're after good value and a friendly chat, but it could do with a bit of modernisation to really shine. I'd say give it a go if you're in the area – you might just find yourself recommending it to your mates like I am now!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, like chatting with a mate who's always got a smile and a cup of tea ready.
  • It's got a brilliant location right near the beautiful South Beach, perfect for a stroll after a pint or a meal.
  • The breakfast is spot on – fresh, cooked to your liking, and a proper hearty start to the day that keeps you going.
  • Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice touches like sea views and free WiFi, making it a cosy spot to unwind.
  • They cater well for different dietary needs and offer things like off-road parking, which is a bonus for a quick getaway.
Cons
  • The rooms feel a bit dated, like they've not had a freshen-up in a while, which might disappoint if you're after something modern.
  • Evening meals are only available for larger groups, so if you're just popping in for a casual dinner, options might be limited.
  • As it's adults only, it might not suit families or those wanting a lively, mixed crowd like in some bustling pubs.
  • No specific operating hours listed, which could leave you guessing about when to drop by for a drink or bite.
  • It's more of a guest house with bar elements rather than a full-on pub vibe, so it might feel quieter than expected.

Great hotel. We were late arrival (and I mean like 5 mins to the cut off🙈) and Tim was there to greet us with a smile still! The rooms are dated but it's irrelevant, decent enough for an overnight/ few nights stay! The breakfast was lovely and done to your preferences, and even had a little cereal/ fruit/ juice buffet table to pick from! I would definitely stay here again 😁

Adrian and myself have been in the Royal Bridlington for 4 days now. The service is second to none, Tim has been exceptionally attentive making sure we are happy and our teas and coffees are full. Clean towels daily. Overall completely satisfied with this hotel. We will be back again. Thanks Tim and Fiona.

We had a very pleasant stay at The Royal. Location was very good. Our room was nice with a sea view (although could do with a slight update). Breakfast was the best ever. Will definately return.
