About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Round Oak – it's one of those reliable spots that just feels like a breath of fresh air for a casual get-together. I've heard from loads of folks that the carvery is a proper winner, with generous portions and flavours that hit the spot, especially on a Sunday. The pizzas are another highlight, made with fresh dough and served up quickly, and with all those cracking deals like two for £14 cocktails or 50% off burgers, it's easy to see why it's so popular around Dudley. The team behind the bar and in the kitchen are genuinely lovely, always ready with a smile and quick to sort out any little hiccups, which makes the whole experience feel warm and inviting. On the downside, it's a shame the place looks a tad worn out in spots; it could do with a bit of a makeover to freshen things up and make it even more appealing. All things considered, if you're after a straightforward, affordable meal with mates or family, it's definitely worth a visit – just keep expectations realistic on the decor front, and you'll have a cracking time.

The venue feels a bit dated and tired in places, which might not give off that fresh, modern feel you'd expect from a lively spot.

While the food's generally decent, a couple of folks have mentioned it's not the absolute best carvery out there, so it might not wow everyone.

We have visited the Round Oak multiple times for family meals and it's never disappoints. We have visited this Sunday to celebrate my nephews 5th Birthday and it's was wonderful. Olivia was our server today and she was absolutely wonderful! Olivia couldn't do enough for us especially helping one of the members of our family carry their carvery to the table when struggling and helping to get her back to her seat. She was so friendly and welcoming and a real credit to the pub! Food was lovely as always and a lovely atmosphere all around
The food is decent, not the best carvery I've ever had but definitely worth the value for money nonetheless. Portion sizes are more than great, options are decent too. Staff have always been friendly, helpful and accommodating when I go. Have nothing bad to say about service.
Booked last minute on the way back from a few days in London. Online booking was swift and easy. Arrived and there was lots of parking space for a busy Easter Sunday. As soon as we arrived we were promptly seated. The restaurant was busy but it didn't feel overcrowded and plenty of space - really good layout.
We ordered via the online function and our drinks and carvery receipts came promptly.
Food on the carvery looked amazing and fresh and lots of sides to choose from.
Our waitress Olivia was really kind and helpful and ensured we have everything we needed. We ordered my 5 year old the mac n cheese and Olivia spotted she was struggling with her fork so swiftly came over to offer her a spoon 😊.
We needed a takeaway box too as my daughter did not finish her food and Olivia was prompt in getting this sorted for us with a takeaway box. Amazing service and so friendly.
100% would dine there again as it was our first time 🙂
If you want a hearty carvery then you've found the right place. Very good value for money.
The place could do with a freshen up though, it looks a little dated and tired. All in all great traditional grub.
We had a fantastic carvery on New Year’s Day which was very tasty indeed. The portion was just right and not sparse. The staff are pleasant and friendly too. It’s been a while since our palsy visit and it was certainly worth a revisit. Highly recommended
