About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Beer Bank – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot every time. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars; they're so welcoming and go out of their way to make sure everything's spot on, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or hosting a birthday bash like Pauline did. The drink choices are brilliant, with a huge range of beers and even hot drinks if you're not in the mood for alcohol, and folks like Neil and Cridz raved about how well-kept everything is. Then there's the food – that sausage sarnie Neil mentioned sounds spot on, and the buffet for parties was apparently fresh and catered to all tastes. The interior's lovely too, all cosy and well-decorated, which makes it a perfect spot to unwind, especially with those themed nights that Yajnah's excited about. On the flip side, it's a bit of a shame the website's not up and running properly, as it could make planning a visit easier, and without a phone number, you might have to wing it on the hours, which seem a tad unclear from the info available. All in all, though, it's got that warm, community feel that's hard to beat, and with such high ratings, I'd say it's well worth checking out for a proper good time – just keep an eye on those opening times to avoid any surprises!

  • The place is spotlessly clean and has excellent air conditioning, which is a real bonus on warmer days.
Cons
  • The website seems to be having issues, so it's not the easiest to get more info online before visiting.

  • The operating hours in the details look a bit muddled, so it could be confusing to know exactly when they're open.

Lovely interior decor, really friendly staff, decent drink choice and a plus that they do hot drinks too. Lots of themed nights which we are looking forward to checking out.

Last night we held my birthday party at the beer bank. It was incredible. From booking initially through to the actual night I could not have received better service. Mitch ensured that everything was perfect. The buffet was gorgeous; fresh, beautifully cooked and catered to the needs of everyone with little extras for the children- which were devoured by my grandchildren. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the beer bank for a special occasion or just a relaxed drink in a fab atmosphere

Looking for a rest (beer) stop on the way from the station to our hotel, I spotted this little gem. What a find! We were greeted by friendly staff, a great selection of well-kept ale and an enticing breakfast menu. The sausage sarnie was excellent and washed down with a pint of Bang The Elephant Half Rats served in a proper pint glass. A few games of mini table football later and it was time for us to tear ourselves away from this awesome micropub. The owners can be very proud of what they have created here. Thoroughly recommended!
