About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Rose & Crown – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt in Bath, you know? From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is lovely and inviting, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint. The staff are an absolute treat, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really lifts the whole experience. And the food? Well, it's spot on – think hearty options like burgers and chicken dishes that are generous and full of flavour, plus a decent beer selection that includes a Guinness so good it could transport you straight to Ireland. They've got fun extras like happy hours and curry nights that add a bit of excitement and great value. But, to keep it real, it's a smaller venue, so it can get a tad snug when it's busy, and some older reviews make me wonder if everything's as fresh as the newer ones suggest. Still, with that solid 4.5 rating buzzing around, I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for a genuine, down-to-earth pub experience in Bath – just pop in and see for yourself!

Under new management, and from what folks are saying, it's only getting better, keeping things fresh and positive.
Cons
-
It's a small spot, so on busier evenings, you might find it a bit cosy – not ideal if you're after plenty of space to spread out.

Some of the reviews date back a few years, so while recent ones are glowing, it's worth noting that things can change, and you might want to check for the latest vibes.
-
The operating hours seem a tad inconsistent from the listings, which could mean planning ahead to avoid any surprises, especially on quieter days.

Cracking pub! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a Guinness so good it might just convince you that you’re in Dublin. If pints could get Michelin stars, this one would be at least a two-star Guinness experience. Highly recommend!
Under new management and looks very positive. Very agreeable local pub with great menu promised. Strongly recommend
Lovely little pub! The food is amazing and they have some classic options you don't see so often. I has the chicken supreme and my partner had the burger. Both were excellent quality and very generous.
Good local pub that is small but welcoming. We ate and drank there one warm summer evening and had a lovely time.
Good selection of beer. Very nice food. Lovely friendly staff.
Absolutely cracking pub, one of tobys pubs and its very well ran. Food menu is simple but very good. Happy hour 3-7 and they have curry nights on Thursdays which are tasty and sizeable. Bar staff in particular Charlotte and abi were very welcoming and friendly. Drink choice is decent.
