About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Bladuds Head – it's one of those classic pubs in Bath that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels included, which really sets the tone for a relaxed night out. The drinks selection is spot on too, with a brilliant range of beers and ciders that won't cost you an arm and a leg, and it's all about that good value that makes it so approachable. Then there's the entertainment side – pool, darts, and sports on the telly make it a fun hangout spot, especially if you're up for a bit of friendly competition or just soaking in the atmosphere. They've even got a nice outdoor area for when the weather's on your side, and events like Sunday roasts sound like a treat based on the positive feedback. But, to keep it real, there was this one review that left a sour note, where things got a bit mishandled with someone's gluten intolerance, which is a shame and something to be mindful of if you're heading there with dietary needs. Overall, it's got that genuine pub charm going for it, with most folks raving about the experience, but it's not flawless – still, I'd say it's worth a visit for a pint and a laugh with mates.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, always making you feel right at home with their friendly chats and top-notch service.
-
They've got a cracking selection of beers, ciders, ales, and lagers, all at really affordable prices – perfect for a casual catch-up without breaking the bank.
-
It's packed with fun things to do, like pool, darts, and even bowling, plus they show sports on TV, so it's a great spot for a lively evening.
-
The outdoor area is a real gem for sunnier days, and they host regular events and serve up delicious Sunday roasts that come highly recommended.
Cons
-
There was one upsetting incident where staff weren't accommodating to someone's dietary needs, which could put off anyone with specific requirements.
-
A couple of reviews mentioned grumbles about the pool table and service, suggesting it might not always run smoothly during busier times.

Update- New venture 2022 with Sunday roast. We had a veggie roast very nice. Definite recommend.
Great local, lovely staff, bowling, darts, pool, sport TV oh and beers ciders and bar snacks. Cards taken as well as cash. Rolls £2 Events on regular. EDIT - JULY 2018 We had a family do at the Bladud, great night using the spacious rear area as well as the outside area in this lovely summer. The staff and locals were very welcoming and the buffet food laid on was generous and tasty. There was also a option of a BBQ if we wanted but decided on a buffet. We danced the night away, enjoyed the company and the drinks.
Staff here thought it was okay to bully my partner, who 2 weeks prior went through a nasty c section and birth of our first child, because she is gluten intolerant and therefore couldn’t eat food they served for a wake. A certain member of staff also moaned about the pool table being used, chips from a takeaway up the road being bought into the pub, rudely demanded we get completely off the premises before consuming our food, despite spending a lot of money for hours prior to this. Very rude and unwelcoming staff, there are better options.
Brilliant boozer. Great staff and service, regulars are all jovial, welcoming and have a good but of banter about them. Vast array of drinks with a fabulous, fresh pint of Guinness. Love sport and a pool table
First visit last night to play pool. A truly typical English pub, the kind of local that I could imagine spending Christmas Eve or New Year's in a great atmosphere. Tasteful and surprisingly large rear extension for traditional pub games or private functions and large courtyard garden with BBQ. Friendly staff and customers. Thanks
Quality local boozer. Drinks are cheap and good value, there is a good choice of ciders, ales and lagers. The games room is decent and spacious. Good size outdoor drinking area. Food is typical pub grub. The best part of the pub is the bar staff who are very friendly and welcoming.
