About This Pub

Ah, The Rose & Crown, what a lovely spot it is in Ealing. I've got to say, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, with its traditional English charm and that real sense of community. The staff are absolute stars; they're so warm and attentive, always ready with a smile and quick service that makes you feel genuinely looked after. And the food? Well, it's brilliant – think refined pub classics done just right, with the Sunday roast being a standout favourite among the crowd. Paired with a pint of Fuller's London Pride in their spacious garden, it's just the ticket for a relaxed day out, and it's even welcoming to dogs, which is a nice touch if you're popping in with your four-legged friend. On the flip side, it does get pretty packed on busier days, so you might find yourself jostling for space or needing to plan ahead for a table. Plus, if you're in the mood for something a bit more upscale or modern, this traditional setup might not quite hit the mark. All in all, though, it's a reliably excellent choice for us pub lovers – a place where you can unwind, enjoy good grub, and soak up the atmosphere without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The food is spot on, especially the Sunday roast – it's hearty, delicious, and made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • They've got a massive garden that's perfect for soaking up the sun on a nice day, and it's even dog-friendly so you can bring your furry mate along.
  • A great selection of real ales and beers, including Fuller's classics, which really add to that authentic pub charm.
  • It's got a real community spirit, ideal for a relaxed afternoon or evening catch-up with friends or family.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy on weekends and popular days, so you might need to book ahead to snag a table.
  • As a traditional pub, it might not have the most modern or trendy vibe if you're after something a bit more contemporary.

This is our local pub so we're here a lot! Friendly staff and great food, plus a huge garden. Reliably excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening and a huge asset to South Ealing.

Had a fantastic time at this pub! We went as a group for Easter Sunday lunch, and it turned out to be a great experience all around. The service was genuinely warm and welcoming—one of those places where you immediately feel comfortable. I tried their Sunday roast, and it was actually my first ever roast. Even with my palate, which isn’t exactly used to traditional roasts, I found it genuinely delicious. The flavors were rich without being overwhelming, and everything was cooked just right. One thing I really loved was the indoor seating area—it had such great natural light that it felt like you were almost sitting outdoors. It made the atmosphere so lively and refreshing, adding to the whole experience. They also have a solid selection of beers and ciders, which paired perfectly with the meal. Good drinks, great food, and very good service—can’t really ask for more. Definitely a place I’d happily return to when I’m in the area!
